Couldn't Wait to Try It- Now the Waiting for the Effect Begins! - San Antonio, TX

I think I'm done!

WORTH IT$1,200
I went back to see my doctor in November and we decided to hold off until January with any additional procedures. I kind of forgot about it, having looked at myself in the mirror every day. I went home for Christmas and my sister-in-law was the one to remark about how much more defined my chin looked. I was pleased and surprised. There's not much fat left under the chin (along the neck is a different story and I still hate that part!) but I am very pleased with the Kybella. At this point, I don't think there's any reason to continue with the treatments!

Awesome- he fully explained the procedure, the process, the length of time it'll take to get the results I want (aka- not an overnight miracle!).

I would love to see a final photo too! Do you feel that you have loose skin under your chin with the loss of fat there or did the skin firm up?

Thank you for all your posts. I just had my first set of injections today. I only had a numbing cream and it stung like crazy! I had 20 injections. It's very swollen like you explained. I'm excited to see the results! Thanks again for your detailed explanation, it helps a lot to know what to expect.

Six days after #2

jloreine
It's been six days since the second set of shots. It was hard and tender to the touch for the first few days. Definitely swollen for the fancy party I attended! Right now, as you can see from the pictures, it's still swollen. It's not as numb as it was but you can see exactly where the spot is that's been injected. Now it's just the waiting game. Every day it's a little less angry.

Do you know how many vials were used on your treatments?

October 13, 2015
I know that they did 15 injections both the first and second time. I think if I'm doing the math right that's three vials?

Great info! I had my first injection of about 20 sites on 8/31....I have mixed feelings about my upcoming second injection. I am going to see this thru as I am not a quitter, but I feel like the feeling is just coming back, and I'm about to do it all over again! I am very excited at the possibilities, I think that's what keeps me on track. Look forward to hearing and seeing more about your treatment and results! Thanks for sharing!

The numbness is definitely not as bad the second time.

Hello. May I ask, are you paying $1200 per set of injections? My dr chgs 1200 each for the first two sets ($2400), and his fee decreases for additional treatments if required. I've seen such a variety of fees on Real Self, but, for me, it isn't clear if it is for one treatment or the entire process. Thanks!

I think it depends on the number of Vials per treatment. My dr charges around $1,500 for 3 vials per treatment.

It's a flat rate of $1200.

My Doctor charges $3000 for the first two treatments, regardless of how much product is used.

OK I think I had 30 injections with 3 vials. But he did say I had more fat there then most. So maybe that is why.

Second Series Completed

jloreine
I went in yesterday for the second set of injections. My doctor doesn't think I'll need more than this but we'll wait and see. I was given an anesthetic again but it didn't seem to be as effective as the first time. They gave me 15 shots again in the designated area. It was more tender this time, but significantly less swollen. It's still swollen today (about 24 hours later) and it's hard to the touch as it was the first time. I don't think I'll have as long of a period of swelling as I did the first time. (Hopefully not as I have a social function to attend on Thursday.)
