Reconstruction with fat transfer

I wasn't sure if I'd ever be comfortable looking at myself in the mirror again. Thanks to my amazing doctor Dr. Baumholtz I feel normal again . He is amazing and I am forever grateful to him. He recommended fat transfer procedure would be the best option for me. I trusted him and I couldn't be happier with my decision. His bedside manners and the love he has for his patients is beyond any words I can describe. These pictures are after 4 1/2 months of doing reconstruction surgery with fat transfer.

What state is your dr in. I think he did a awsome job. Im not happy with mine im so embarrassed to let my husband see me. I look so ugly. My dr was very nice but im very unhappy with his work. I have alot of pain and discomfort everyday. I get so depressed by the way i feel and look.
In Texas. I understand how you feel. Just know that it can get better. For me I was there and I wasn't sure what to accept. I did research but what I mostly found was reconstruction due to breast cancer. There wasn't much for me to go by since there wasn't much about reconstruction due to infection. I'm extremely grateful for having found my amazing doctor. Best of luck to you!

Recovery

After having both implants removed and being on a wound vac for 5 wks. (Most painful thing I've ever experienced) I was on my road to recovery. I was on a leave of absence from work for 3months

Infection

This is how I showed up to the emergency room. The previous doctor who had originally done the exchange of my implants said this was normal and with antibiotics I would be fine. When I showed up to the ER I was admitted and scheduled for an emergency surgery to have my breast cleaned out and have tissue removed

I had the same thing just happen to me and my breast looks so bad they blamed me for smoking and that it was my fault. Even after I've had 9 drain tubes put in and he popped my implant from putting in a drain tube. My breast looks stuck to my chest and my nipple is still there
So sorry to hear. I know it's tough.. but just stay positive things will get better
