I wanted the surgery in a rush, as I am leaving the country soon. Jenifer was amazing at getting me scheduled ASAP on an off day. The consultation was very rushed and I didn't necessarily have the best impression of Dr. Young. The facility was nicely decorated and clean, although there is a relatively long wait time. The front desk staff seemed polite and Stephanie is an amazingly knowledgeable professional who explains everything in detailed and leaves you feeling pretty comfortable. I made my decision to use Dr. Young solely based on the positive reviews from RealSelf.com. I'm not sure how the reviews are monitored but they were very misleading. I didn't have a positive experience at all like the ones written about Dr. Young. Personally, I found Dr. Young uninterested, uncaring and a bit condescending. Maybe his surgical skills are far better than his social skills, its still too early to tell. On the outcome of my surgery, the results at this time look promising but there is still a great deal of swelling. I will write an additional review after my follow-up appointment and add before and after pictures after the swelling has gone down.

My consultation was rushed and Dr. Young seemed very uninterested and lacked any type of emotion. At first, I wrote off his behavior as typical busy, stressed and over-worked plastic surgeon just having an "off" day. I've worked with many doctors and understand that their job sometimes takes a toll on their social skills. My conclusion for Dr. Young comes after a total of 3 face-to-face interactions and two phone conversations. I'm not sure if his attitude toward me was solely personal or if that's how he treated all his patients, but I felt completely disregarded. He failed to explain anything in great detail and always seemed if my questions irritated him. His nurse Stephanie was exceptional in further explaining the procedure and after care instructions. An incident occurred after surgery, where I experienced persistent and unrelieved pain (on the aftercare sheet it gives an emergency number to call in case of such pain). I called and was later connected with Dr. Young, which I easily sensed pure irritation from the sound of his voice. I explained my pain and concerns, there was a long silence and then he exhaled and stated that if my pain was so bad I should go to the ER and get a shot. His answer seemed heavily sarcastic and honestly upset me. He didn’t ask any questions about my pain… maybe there was a serious underlying reason for it??? He merely stated that I was taking the highest dose and that there was nothing he could do. He said that I was prescribed a muscle relaxer (which I wasn’t) we went back and forth briefly about if one was given or not (I am extremely clear on the medications I have been taking for the past 5 days). After this back and forth he stated I should take Benadryl, as it would take the edge off and make me sleep…… still through all of this no questions regarding my pain. It was finally concluded that I come in early the next day. I’m writing this out of frustration on the extent of care delivered by Dr. Young. On the outcome of my surgery, the results at this time look promising but there is still a great deal of swelling. I will write an additional review after my follow-up appointment and add before and after pictures after the swelling has gone down.

Hi there, welcome and thanks for sharing your experience with us.

How are you feeling now it's been another week or so post-op? When is it you're having your follow-up?

Please do keep us updated with your progress.
I am to have a follow up in a week or so but probably wont go.....the whole process seems much like a waste....
Any pics ?
I had a similar experience during my consultation. The bedside manner needs a little help. The price is definitely right but the improvement could be as simple as smiling when he walks in the room. I just chalked it up to him having a bad day or something. The office staff was nice though. I didn't go through with the surgery but I hope your recovery is going well!
