It is bad enough reaching your 50's and looking in...
It is bad enough reaching your 50's and looking in the mirror and wondering who is staring back at you, but I am in the position of having been seriously ill after being diagnosed with an auto-immune. It has taken me almost five years to get back on my feet again .... But now is the time to start looking after my physical appearance and not just my health again.
I attended the clinic on an Open Day where services such as free hand peels, and skin consultations were being offered.
Okay, so here's the low down ........
1. The clinic is in the middle of the San Antonio Medical Centre so expect some traffic.
2. There is parking available BUT it was so busy, it took me over 15 minutes to find a spot and that was even with a disabled badge. Parking is paid for in CASH or CHECK only so go prepared! If you do get stuck the cafe in the building will do cash back but at a $3 charge.
3. The clinic is small but very clean and pleasant. Plenty of up to date magazines.
4. The staff were all extremely well presented and incredibly friendly. You felt like they were genuinely interested in you and how they could help.
5. I loved that this was a real medical clinic and not some spa that did additional treatments. The nurse I saw had proper knowledge of the drugs being used. Additionally, because they want the best effects for you, rather than push as much as possible to get your money, she actually took a conservative approach for my first time, and pointed out that I have heavy eyelids (I do) and that she didn't want to give me too much Botox and create a further drop in my lids. I appreciate honesty.
6. No members of staff rushed me ...... They made me feel important and took their time to explain things both in detail and with examples. This was on a very busy Open Day for them. Impressive.
7. They accurately diagnosed the problems that I am having with my European skin in a place like San Antonio. While they recommended products they did not push the sale. I hate to feel like a credit card rather than a person - their attitude will bring me back as a repeat client.
I will update the review in two weeks when the Botox has had time to take effect and I have my follow up. The area treated was my "11" lines and my three lines across my forehead - the 11's are deep furrows sadly ..... I don't expect them to disappear but even a softening would be wonderful.
