I always wanted/needed a breast reduction, everyone says to wait till your done having kids. When I was ready to make that choice, I figured there were a few other things that given the opportunity I would fix, and now was that opportunity. I had a tummy tuck, breast reduction, and liposuction of my upper arms. Since I was large cheated, I felt I carried weight on my upper body. The team was informative, responsive, and helpful, before and after surgery during recovery. The work they did was beautiful and I couldn't be happier. I've gotten tons of compliments, everything looks very natural, and my scars healed beautifully.
Painful surgery but happy with the results. Dr Ayala is the best plastic surgeon in the San Antonio area , he's perfectionist and caring. I'm petite 105 pounds, 22 waist and 38 hips the doctor transfer some fat on the hips too.
I always knew that my nose didn't match the rest of my face. My has delicate features with sharp structure, but my nose just didn't match that. It was too long and I had a jump. Furthermore, I couldn't breathe too well out of one nostril. I'm so thankful for the final results of my rhinoplasty, and it is QUITE the journey. Lots of swelling, bruising and even acne can come of such a procedure. But I highly recommend doing something for yourself (whether it be buying those shoes you've wanted, going to therapy, or getting a nose job) that makes you happy and the best version of YOU! Don't go into surgery and try to look like someone else. Many professional surgeons won't even recommend that. Find a surgeon that will work with your features and really enhance the beauty you already have.
I was a natural 34B, which I loved. Unfortunately, when I breastfed my daughter (1999-2000) my breasts grew to a 34D, then quickly deflated when the milk dried up. I decided to get breast augmentation in 2005 and chose Saline, 340cc, under muscle and placed through the arm pit. I’ve been very happy with the results but after 15years there were some repairs that needed to be addressed: left breast drifts to the side and is a bit off centered; both breasts hang low; rippling of implants can be seen. I chose Dr. John Ayala to replace my Saline with Silicone “gummy bears” and to do a breast lift, fixing muscle detachment on left breast. Updated on 7 Feb 2019: Surgery went well yesterday and I was in great, meticulous hands with Dr. Ayala. He spent a good amount of time measuring every angle and marking me up for surgery. We removed my saline implants (340cc), replaced them with Natrelle Silicone Implants (415cc) and we did mastoplexy (breast lift). The surgery took 5 hours. I have to sleep sitting up for a week and my first night was a bit rough. I don’t own a recliner so I set myself up in the corner of my sectional with a ton of pillows for my back, under the knees and to rest my arms. I took 2 Norco pills and my antibiotics together last night after dinner and woke up at 2am to vomit...so don’t mix the pain meds with antibiotics because each one can cause nausea. I had my first Post Op follow up this morning, less than 24 hours after surgery. They removed my gauzes and took this pic. I was taught how to clean and bandage my breasts and need to do this every morning. Ugh. Not looking forward to having to take off this bra, clean and bandage, then putting the bra back on...it hurts too much to move my arms at the moment. I haven’t taken any pain meds since last night. I’m trying not to take the Norco if possible. It’s painful but after vomiting last night I started meditating and using a guided meditation online to get me through this pain and mentally healthy. It’s helped :) Updated on 9 Feb 2019: I was instructed to change my bandages and clean the incisions very lightly with alcohol on gauze. Today was the first day I had to do this at home. I needed a friend to help me with the bandages and especially to put on and fasten the bra again. The implants are very high and tight. I have soreness from my clavicle to my upper abs. My throat is still sore from the tube they inserted during surgery and my voice hasn’t come back fully yet. I was trying to avoid taking the Norco (pain meds) this afternoon but I ended up taking it this evening because the soreness was too much to handle. My upper back is a bit sore too, most likely due to my posture while I’m sleeping upright on my sofa. Also, I didn’t have a bowel movement for 2.5 days so I took Colace this AM and was able to finally go. Updated on 9 Feb 2019: I’ve been on a holistic path of healing to overcome the symptoms of Celiac disease, chronic back pain and osteopenia for several years. I’m in a great state of health today because of diet/lifestyle changes and certain supplements I take consistently. I’ve added a few more supplements to my regimen for rapid recovery after surgery. These are in addition (not to replace your meds!) to what your doctor has prescribed for you. Please consult your PS and share any supplements that are part of your normal routine. There are certain herbs and supplements that can thin your blood or interfere with your medication so it’s important that your doc approves! Updated on 21 Feb 2019: A lot has changed in the last week. I can actually breathe normally again (it was so heavy and tight it felt like I could only take small sips of oxygen). The boobs are starting to drop! Doctor gave instructions to start massage but only on the top parts of my breasts. I’m really happy with the overall look and can’t wait to see what the final result will be. I’m allowed to start walking on the treadmill for 30 min a day and do leg weights at the gym. Absolutely no lifting or pulling with my upper body and I’m still not able to raise my arms above my head. Started to get rashes on my skin in the entire bra area...I have to wear gauzes and a lot of tape around the incisions for another week or so. The surgical bra is still necessary 24/7 and it’s irritating my skin too. I’m using Benadryl cream to relieve the itch. I also put on a tank top over the bandaged breasts and then the bra on top of that so I can get some relief from the itching. I’m still instructed to sleep upright. I was doing this in the living room for the first week and half but he a horrible time sleeping. I’ve now transferred to my bed and propped up a ton of pillows and can sleep much better now. No more pain other than the occasional twinge I feel in my suture area. I was experiencing very bad upper back pain in the later part of the first week and that coupled with the heavy chest/no oxygen and pain in the breasts had me feeling down. I caught the “Boobie blues” for 2 days but did all I can to tell myself these emotions were normal. I meditated, I sat in the sun and watched a ton of comedies and snapped myself back :) I’m still taking all of my supplements and eating extremely healthy. No processed foods! No sugar! Fruits, veggies and lean protein is my typical diet anyway. I have Celiac disease so I don’t eat gluten. I’ve also cut out dairy, egg and corn due to sensitivity. Food is medicine and I’m putting that theory to the test in my recovery :)
Cannot say enough good things about Dr. Ayala and his wonderful staff. The absolute best Botox and fillers I've ever had. Very precise and natural. Thank you for always being so kind and professional.
Hello everyone, I’m here to share my new journey. I’m a 38 years mother of 3 beautiful girls. My kids are grown so now is time to take care of myself. In 2015 I decided to change my life and began a new eating and exercising routine. Thanks to that I was able to lose about 40lbs. Always had problems with my big fat legs and extra tummy skin. About a year ago I had a tummy tuck, I’m not so please with my results, but at least the extra skin and some of the stretch marks are gone. After recovering I hit the gym again and built more muscle and toned up pretty good, but my breast felt the consequences more Than any other part of my body. I went to see doctors, one was overhanging me for the procedures. So I went and searched and looked around to find the ideal doctor. I found Dr. Ayala, not only did he answered all my questions, but also stop me from doing procedures that were not going to be beneficial for my body, meaning why pay for something that isn’t going to work? I don’t really want to add implants or go big on my boobs, just want to have a more natural look. Dr. Ayala took his time to talk to me and show me what the outcome would be after surgery and always reminding me that I needed to rest and follow his instructions. This is when I knew I’ve found the right doctor. First time in his office I came across happy and friendly faces, from when I first checked in until my appointment was scheduled. Had blood work done yesterday and an EKG, wonder why my previous doctor didn’t bother to order an EKG before my tummy tuck ????? My procedure will be done tomorrow, wish me luck. I’m so excited I’m not able to sleep much ??. I’ll post pictures, after all pictures are worth thousand words.... Updated on 14 Dec 2018: So far I’m loving the only thing bothering me right now, is that I don’t have sensation on my right nipple. Hopefully it comes back once the swelling is gone. Had a 2 weeks follow today and everything is healing the way is supposed to.
I love Dr Ayala's office staff and especially his nurse Alina. I've had the greatest care and support from everyone here. I have been coming here for a couple years now for fillers and I've had amazing results. Each appointment I am treated with respect and amazing care. They take the time to talk to you and really understand what will work for you.
Dr Ayala is an artist. He reconstructed my face after a poor result from another surgeon. I adore him and respect his incredible skill and his extensive knowledge. I would never go to anyone else. He's compassionate and caring, but most of all he's darn good.
AMAZING, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. I've been with so many doctors and I spend more than 10,000 dlrs to take my stretch marks away, I didn't even had a small result so I was looking to see if Doctor Ayala crew could do the skin tightening on my belly. they treat me so well, Dr Alina she was so nice and show she care about me. So then, she explain to me that I have to take my stretch marks away to have a succesfull skin tightening, she show me diferent lasers and at the bigining I did not have any hopes because of my experience. Today is my second day and my sketch marks faded away. I'M SO THANKFUL WITH ALL THE CREW, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TAKING MY STRECTH MARKS AWAY. HIGHLY RECOMEMDED!!!
My experience with Dr Ayala has been excellent. He did my augmentation and took great care of me. I also like his staff very much how they explain my procedures. And detailed. They're very professional
Hello: A moderate profile implant is a flatter and wider implant, typically used on patients who have a wider chest and prefer less projection. A High profile implant is preferred if you have a more petite chest width, but still want a nice projection. Upon examination, your surgeon will measure your chest width, the distance from the sternum to the areola, compare your folds, and determine what cup size you are wanting to be. Please make sure to research your surgeon, as it is imperative they have plenty of experience using both types of implants. Remember, you have the options to choose a saline vs. a gel filled (silicone implant) which also come in a moderate and high profile. Good luck with your decision!
Hello. A compression garment is very crucial during recovery, however, the right garment must be selected. Your plastic surgeon surely has a brand and style that he prefers his patients to wear as it is very important to apply the right compression without compromising circulation. Call your surgeon's office and speak express your concerns as I'm sure they will guide you to the right website, or perhaps order it for you. Good Luck!
Hello. Photos would help to assess your concerns. Nevertheless, having your plastic surgeon examine the area would definitely be your best choice. Swelling typically is present even at 5 weeks. Good luck!
Hello: Congratulations on your recent surgery. Based on the photos you provided us, I would schedule an appointment as soon as possible to make sure a suture did not come undone. With swelling and the angle we are looking at, its hard to determine if either swelling would be the culprit. Godd luck!
Hello. This particular bra seems to be fine after 6-12 post-breast augmentation. Make sure the bra does not put direct pressure to the incision if the incision is located in the breast fold. We prefer a supportive bra along with a bra strap after 1 week from surgery. After 6 weeks patients have the option to use a sports bra. Good luck!
