I am extremely pleased with my results! I am 53 years old, but was looking like I was in my 60's. I had smoked for 40 years and had also been under a great deal of stress for most of my married life (33 years). My goal was to get rid of the jowls and to look less haggered. Dr. Michael Decherd at the San Antonio Plastic Surgery Institute did a facelift, necklift, and upper and lower bleph. I look fabulous and I feel fabulous! I feel like he gave me all of my missing time back. His bedside manner is wonderful and the hospital was great, as well. I was realistic about my goals and didn't expect to look 25-I just wanted to look my age. And I wanted people to stop telling me I looked tired all the time. So glad I went for it! Now I am just focusing on my skincare. Still have some healing to do on the inside, but it comes with time.

What difference but please tell me you didn't have all that work done for $1248.00. lol. What are you doing for skincare?
I started treating my skin by first quitting smoking, then started clean eating diet. I am doing the Ayurvedic dietary stuff. Besides that, I am just using Phisoderm to wash my face 3 times a day and moisturizing with coconut oil. Occasionally, I do a baking soda scrub, but not more than twice a week. It's working!

You look very refreshed! Thank you so much for sharing. What would you say the hardest part of your recovery has been?

Because of my skin-tone, I had very red scars for longer than my doctor expected. I still have dark under-eyes (on the red side) when I get tired, but it is still too soon to tell if this will be a long lasting side effect. I have never been a makeup kind of girl, so when I get that tired, it's bed-time. Also...feeling in the skin is coming back into the area in front of and around my ears. That seems to be taking the longest to get back to normal. It only bothers me when I use headphones, which I do every night before going to sleep. But it is slowly coming back.
