Ok so I was way nervous about doing Kybella. I initially wanted liposuction to suck my pudgy chin so when doc mentioned Kybella I was like umm did you just say acid? The idea of injecting my body with deoxycholic acid kinda sorta freaked me out. Seriously the word "acid" doesn't sound very appealing. Anyhow I was assured that this procedure is not as invasive as liposuction, so being the guiless double chin chick that I am, off I went to get an acid chin treatment lol. Treatment day was not as bad as I had imagined. I pictured blood and tears and my mouth being left paralyzed. Yes I have a very active imagination. I'm a total wuss I dislike pain. Honestly though the pain wasn't that bad, but keep in mind it also wasn't oooh I love this pricking sensation either. It hurt yes but not too bad. It felt like, well it felt like a damn needle pricking your skin. Ok so 1st Day I was swollen (duh), 2nd day I half expectied to ribbit ribbit when I saw myself in the mirror. Eeech. I didn't wear a scarf because I hate scarfs so I decided to let my fat ass chin go out in public. I'm a rebel like that. No one said anything about my chin. 3rd day still swollen but now my chin area is hard, best description I can give. It feels like a giant pimple. Will keep posting so you guys can see any changes. So far nada zippo zilch but I'm not suppose to see any difference until the 4th week. So until then the people of San Antonio will have get use to seeing my obese chin.

Day 8

Day 8 and I finally noticed the swelling going down. Still poofy but not too bad. The hardness is still there but it feels like it's breaking apart. The mass Under my chin doesn't feel as big as it did. Feel great, no side effects, no difficulty swallowing, so far it's been easy peasy

Update - it took about a month to go back to normal and about 6 weeks to really see results. I only had one injection - the recovery was rotten - I looked like a bullfrog for at least 2 weeks. BUT the results were worth it. I had a mini double chin before - I could grab it, but now it lies flat - there was also considerable re-draping of the skin under my chin, which I was worried about. I am 41 and I think if your skin has lost too much elasticity, you won't get as much of the re-draping effect, which is critical to avoid a saggy chicken chin (too much skin with too little fat is a bad combo ;)

Another update. I saw my Doctors before and after photos - is was NOT WORTH IT. The change was so subtle. I had a big bullfrog neck, so he thought I would have had a lot of fat loss, but I couldn't see any and we agreed, the majority of the benefit came from some minor 'redraping' of the skin. But that alone was not worth it.

Who was your doctor? Any updates? How many treatments do you need?

Dr Finder. So far I have to say it looks the same if not worse. I originally wanted lipo but was told I was a better candidate for kybella. I will not do it again. I'm still swollen 6 weeks out :/

I too would like to know what Doctor you went to. I live in San Antonio as well & am looking into having this done very soon. :)
