I am a horse trainer and former ski instructor, age 72, and got a lot of sun damage over the years. I did not wear sunscreen for ten years or more. I wanted to look younger, less tired and healthier. I had a facelift years ago but that didn't take care of the texture and wrinkles. The treatment was done under local anesthesia, with a CO2/Erbium laser. It took about 10 days of healing with peeling, crusting, redness, swelling.

No, procedure went well for me with next to no discomfort. I had good local numbing medicine

You look great, amazing!!!! I am happy to see a women past 50 show results. I will be 64 yrs old and had the Active FX done couple weeks ago and am happy with it also. I will have to have one or two more treatments because of 'smoker's mouth' but this initial tx did tighten and appears to have lifted my eyelids off of my eyes. For me, the treatment was the worst part of the whole process including healing. Prior to treatment I took proactive med for herpes and I started Prednisone day of surgery to ward off cellulitis of face as I get that sometimes when I color my hair. Both meds worked as I had no problems w either. On day of procedure I took two Valium and had numbing lotion put on face which didn't do a darn thing, the procedure was painful especially around my mouth. I did pay considerably less as Wilmington Health, NC ran a sale for month of January 2015 and the next treatments are 1/2 that price. I am looking forward to this 3 month period because my doc said my face will continue to improve as collagen repairs. Again, you look wonderful!

It appears you had an upper eye lift as well...was there any other procedure done on you, in regard to your before and after photos? You look beautiful, by the way!
