Standing, coughing (just don't!), eating and finally pooping

Hey everyone, it's been a crazy few days. I FINALLY was able to poop after 4 days post op. I took milk of magnesia and it was off to the races! The pressure was so painful and I have hardly been able to eat so that wasn't helping. Has anyone else found they can only east small bites of food? Wowza, I get full very fast. My tummy is SO TIGHT and the compression garment keeps everything tighter. Today I started with coughing fits... oh my gosh! Just don't!! It was the most painful thing since this surgery!
That being said I feel like my recovery is going really well. I'm finally able to stand much straighter which helps to relieve the tension in my back. I mostly feel lots of muscle tension and soreness because I can't get into comfortable positions. But last night I finally was able to sleep on my side! I slept like a baby. I'm weening my pain meds and I'm feeling pretty good. Hoping to get my drains out by day ten! I hope you all are healing well or are doing lots of research. I am so glad I did my TT and only wish I had done it sooner!

Hey I'm glad that things are going better and hope when you can finally start sleeping more comfortably. You are so right about the coughing... don't laugh either

It's been nice to sleep on my side! Also I'm standing a bit straighter. So excited to get these drains out! Ugh! It's horrible.

I survived! I won't lie, it's been hard. But the pain is mostly a high level of discomfort. Don't get me wrong, this surgery hurts more then anything else I've had done. The forward facing pics, I think, show my shape a bit and make me feel hope. I've never seen myself with a flat belly so this feels EXCITING!
More to come when I'm more awake. Lol

Thanks for letting me know that you had your surgery! You're shape is really nice. I wish you had a good before pic of your back posted but as far as I can tell you look like a whole new woman. I'm curious where your weight will be after all of this? On my surgery day I was 151 and I'm about 142 but you would never know it looking at me. Did you get yourself a good recliner? Make sure to not let the meds wear off and drink lots of water. The swelling got bad for me starting around day 3 if I remember right... it's all such a blur now. Also don't start doing to much if you start feeling better because the swelling will be worse. Are you wearing compression or a binder?

hotmommy78 it's like you're reading my future! Lol I'm trying to drink lots of fluids because I am definitely dehydrated. They gave me a TON of fluids in surgery but I can only take sips and little bites of anything. Ritz crackers keep the nausea away and let me take my meds without any complications. I wasn't able to find a recliner for less than $800 and no one would rent them as far as I could tell. "Sanitary reasons" is what they told me. I'm really bummed because it's been a challenge to be comfortable at night. I do great during the day. I've also noticed that eating and drinking is HARD. I eat like a bird, same with drinking. The nurse said that some people experience this after surgery because the skin is tightened and then there's a binder squeezing your tummy. I weighed 137 before any surgeries. I weighed 143 coming out of my breast lift and augmentation. I got up as high as 147! But I focused my eating and got down to 143 day of my TT. I weighed 141 when I got out of surgery the next day. I'm curious to see what clothes size I measured. I will look for a before picture of my back. I know I am trying to be on point with my recovery. Ya, I can totally picture swelling like a balloon. Yes, I'm wearing a binder that velcros not a garment like spanx. Does that make sense?

If it helps my friend bought one through sams club that was pretty amazing for 500$ it had heat and massage too. Another place I would check is ksl.com. I lived in mine for the first four weeks and I don't know how I could have done it without. My skin was so tight with all of the swelling but after I started wearing a compression garment that got a lot better. I still wear a size 6 pants but the waist is loose, I haven't tried 4's on just yet but it's possible those would fit me., my tops are all a bit too big and I need extra small instead of small.

Wowza ladies, I'm waking up about every two hours either for pain or to pee. It gets tiring but I thought I would take a second a give you all an update.
First 24hrs!", I survived! Lol. I know it's early but I thought posting some Pictures and I will write more later. My bum is so numb from sitting in the same position. But gratefully the feeling comes back fairly quick. Make sure you stay on top of your pain meds. That will also help. So, for now here are the pictures and I will post more later
