Lifelong Embarrassment from Acne Scars Now All Better. Definitely Worth It! - Saint Petersburg, FL

All my life I have dealt with Acne and acne scaring. I've tried every product under the sun from over the counter to prescription. I was just about to give up when I found Dr. Kass. I had mostly gotten my acne under control, it was just these hideous scars I couldn't take. I came to see Dr. Kass about a peel I read about online called "The Hetter Peel". I originally spoke to his office girl Kate on the phone. She gave me as much information as she could, which was very helpful. I soon made an appointment and met with the doctor himself. After several consultations, I decided that Dr. Kass had a different approach that no other doctors had offered me before. He put me on the Obagi skin care line, and asked that I used this for at least 2 weeks prior to my peel. He said that it would help condition my skin. I actually decided to be proactive and started it a month prior to my peel. I noticed a change in my skin, a good change. I did have a little bit of peeling due to the retina and blender, but that's normal. What acne I did have was starting to dry up and go away! I was already seeing results and was thrilled. A month later I had my peel. I do have to warn you, this particular peel is very strong and not for the faint at heart! I was very red for awhile and boy did I peel. I followed my post operative directions of applying aquaphor as much as possible. After 2 weeks most of my face had peeled. There was some areas that Dr. Kass was more aggressive with than others, and those were still peeling, but that was ok! I could tell a huge difference already. My scars and acne marks had diminished. My face looked fuller and softer. There was some areas that were pinkish and red, but every day was getting better and better. I am now at my 1 year post op. I am elated to say that Dr. Kass gave me the results I was looking for! I know that a scar is permanent, but he was honest with me from the start, he told me that he can't make them go away for good, but he could make them better, and he sure did!
