I'm so excited to start this process (accutane). I always had acne and it's no fun having a adult acne. I have tried everything under the sun to fade my dark spots. However, due to my oily skin, I have another breakout and create more dark spots/scars. I'm into my first week on accutane. What I have notice so far is that my lips are getting drier and my buttocks is a little sore not sure it's from the workout. Hehe. I did wake up with a slight headache on the 4th day but drinking more water and hope that helps. I'll continue to post as I get further into the treatment.

I'm 37 and started at the same dose you're on, around two weeks ago. What brand are you on? I'm on Claravis.

Hi, all is going well, nothing too crazy as far as the side effects. A little about what's going on so far, first week I had couple headaches but not too bad, I think it's helps drinking a minimum of 3 liters a water per day. I'm still working out which is pretty important to me. I'm not squatting with heavy weights though because I don't want to push it but my workouts are still kinda intense. A little joint pain the first week but very mild and it goes a way. My face is flaring up but I do see a difference in my skin texture. My skin and lips are getting very dry.

Week 3

Hey there, on my way into week 4. A little disappointed because I feel very tired all the time, it's prevents me from working out the way I want to. Also, I have minor joint pain. Side effects are manageable though. To the skin, I can tell the texture is improving. I had a few breakouts the first couple of weeks but wasn't really bad, just a few bumps. I can see improvements and will upload photos at the end of week 4.
