My final photos, before and after!! 4 months out.

WORTH IT$19,000
Hi everybody, it has been a couple months since I posted an update. I saw my doctor yesterday and had my after photos taken. Keep in mind these were without makeup, I figured he could see better if I was all natural. I am going to return late this year or early next year for just a little more eyelid removal. Nothing bad but an issue for me. It will be done under local pain relief. My mom had a consultation yesterday as well and it looks like she will be get a neck and lower facelift sometime this winter. Let me know what you think. Again, I have no makeup on.

Dr Nayak was able to clearly show me what treatments would help my 'problem areas'. I was able to then consider my options and chose the treatments I wanted. Dr Nayak is easy to talk to and I feel that he will use his expertise to balance out my face and turn back the clock.

GREAT results. I loved seeing your timeline photos. You went through a lot but it obviously was so worth it. Thank for you sharing.
I saw Dr. Nayak yesterday too! That's so funny!!! You look amazing!
Hi, looks like you have fantastic results as well. I do not regret any of it. I have worked hard in my life and now that I have the resources to do this and it is available, why not??? I want to feel outside what I feel inside. That hanging skin had to go. I wish I had put makeup on for the final photos, it looks even better with makeup. This is something my mom would have never considered doing until after she seen my results. I am so happy she has decided to do this, she deserves it. I had absolutely no hesitation bringing her to Dr Nayak, he is great!! You are right about this site, realself, it has helped me so much, it is also how I found Dr Nayak. I was on the fence until I met him. Enjoy the younger looking you, and congrats on the Wedding.
Dr. Nayak is awesome. I think without the makeup you look fantastic, I can imagine even more beautiful without, but the point is, you don't need it to see how wonderful you look!! :) Your review was the one that really helped me. I found it right before my surgery and knowing you had those results that I could see in pictures by the exact same surgeon I was going to was so helpful you cannot imagine. I wasn't nervous at all. It really took the nerves away. I did tell him at my appointment the other day that I had a review on here. He said he uses this site all the time. He actually used me to show a patient considering the lasering under the eyes at my appointment. I was more than happy to show him and even showed him some of my pictures on here to show the healing. :) Your mom is going to love him too! I just find it so funny that we had our f/u appointments on the very same day! I'm one month out...after seeing your pictures from the other day, I'm really looking forward to the even better results four months out! :)
Fantastic results! Thanks for sharing.
You look amaIng,so natural and youthful. So happy for you
You look wonderful! Where are the stitches for the facelift? In front and back of ear- into nape of neck?
Stitches are so well hidden, I was trying to show my mom the other day and she had a hard time seeing them. They are so close to the ear, on top of the tragus and loops under the lobe. There was stitches about 2 inches above my ear, in the hair line and then behind my ear and down about 2 inches, again in the hair line. Barely noticeable at all. I have seen many on this site in front of the ear and along the hairline, which I find easy to see. I am very happy with how they were concealed. Dr Nayak hides his work well.

I am posting a current photo of my husband and I and a picture from our wedding day, almost 29 years ago!! Remember it was the 80's and big hair was all the rage.

Amazing Results you look fabulous!!!!!! BRAVO
What a transformation, the years have just fallen away! Well done to you and the Dr.
Love these pics! Bet hubby's loving your look (and you of course!) I miss big hair lol
Me too, loved Farrah Fawcett's hair.
Love the pictures!
You look stunning!! I'm having surgery with Dr. Nayak in 10 days. Mini face/ neck lift. Seeing your pics sealed the deal for me that this is the right decision for me!
You will not find a nicer guy then Dr Nayak. I am very happy with my results, I actually have a neck now!! I am so happy that you were able to find my review prior to your surgery. You will be in great hands. Please post before and after pictures, I would love to see. Take care
I was excited to find your post as well! I found this site a couple weeks ago and have read all that I can on a minilift...super excited to find one on Dr. Nayak. I've known I wanted to go to him for a long time, and couldn't be more sure about that decision. It was just a matter of saving up the down payment. :) I'll definitely post pics. I'd like to know more about how you did with healing, swelling, etc. I'm excited to get this going. 10 days. :)
I healed extremely well, on my 1 week check Dr Nayak said that I was looking more like I was 2 weeks post op. I have to say that I had only a positive outlook for my surgery and may have helped. I did have more pain then I imagined it would be, but really once you get past day 4 or 5 it gets much easier, even with the pain I certainly would do it again. I found Dr Nayak on this site, I had visited a dr in KC but for some reason didn't 'go for it', but after viewing photos and reading about Dr Nayak I took the time to drive the 4 1/2 to visit with him and scheduled my appointment the very next day. I am sure you are just as impressed with him as I was/am. initially I had quite a bit of swelling in the the forehead region (browlift) and just in front of my ears. The swelling in front of my ears took about 6 weeks to go away for the most part, but luckily it was not really noticeable when I was out and about town. Over all I think healing went well, I had a light CO2 treatment over my entire face, concentrated under my eyes though and I still was able to apply make up on day 9. I have had comments, 'you look younger' I just say that I lost some weight and my face is thinner. I just do not want people to judge me. I do plan on a mommy makeover later, I am just so happy that I do not have to live with what time is doing to my body. I only family but for just 1 friend, she was not supportive at all, thought it was said that I was allowing society to 'force' me to go under the knife (she is a psychiatrist). Funny thing is that now that I am done she is considering it as well, and with the support of her husband, who is also a psychiatrist. Anyway, I think that your healing has a lot to do with you mental state, keep positive, it will look bad but quickly looks great!
Tell Dr Nayak you saw Sherry Schmidt's pictures :) I see him again in March for a check up.
I think that is great! I haven't told anyone but a group of four girls that I go to the gym with every day. We are all around the same age 40-46, and they are all supportive, and cannot wait to see it. My fiance knows too. He initially tried to talk me out of it, but realized I was set on it, so he's going to be taking care of me. My kids are 12 and 15, and worriers. They will find out when they get home from school that day, otherwise, they would be too worried at school. I told my daughter I wanted to do this last year, and she told me to wait until I'm 50, she didn't want me having surgery, so for me, I think this is the best decision. Once it's over so they won't have any worries. My aunt (actually my ex-husband's aunt) had the minilift with Dr. Nayak 15 years ago, and looks just as fantastic today as she did right after the procedure, so I KNEW he was the surgeon I would go with. :) How was the loopy pill, did it work? I do have some nerves going on, which I know will be worse that morning on the way there...I'm hoping that pill calms them. :) I've had back surgery, and a splenectomy after a car accident when I was 22. This is my first 'elective' procedure, and I'm fine with it. Looking forward to just getting to it!
Dr Nayak had me take a pill 15 minutes before arrival for surgery. Unfortunately I was taking MSM supplement for joint pain which has a blood thinning component to it so the surgery was called off that day, I remember hearing that but don't remember anything else until hours later at the hotel. My husband had the car all packed and had gone out for breakfast by himself while I slept until check out time. It really put me out, it is suppose to calm you as they prepare you for surgery. The next month when I went in for the rescheduled surgery, I was instructed to take that pill when I got to the clinic, I remember everything up to laying down on the surgery table but I was not scared or feeling anything. For me, that was perfect timing, I think they would have had to carry me in there had I taken it 15 minutes earlier. Also, I have read many posts about the extreme nausea some patients get, Dr Nayak has you take an anti nausea pill the night before, I never had any nausea. My husband kept saying that I did not NEED surgery, but you saw my before, I needed it for me and doing it for you is best. My husband was great at keeping my incisions clean and keeping my pills on schedule until I was feeling better and able to do it myself. My kids, 26 and 28, were worried too. Even though the chances are slim that something will go horribly wrong it is still on their minds and frankly mine too. I understand your decision but be prepared for them to feel upset that you never told them, but you did it for them. Your appearance may scare and bother them, let them know it looks worse then it feels. When my husband came to pick me up after surgery, they had to sit him down because he almost fainted. I hadn't seen myself in a mirror yet so I was wondering what the heck, is it that bad!! It will be nice to have the support of friends. By the way, I read some place that surgery done before 50 is the most successful, I just made it! My advise is to stop taking all meds and supplements that are not absolutely necessary. Make sure that Dr Nayak knows exactly what you are taking now, don't wait till the day of surgery. He is very careful and will postpone the surgery, as he should for your safety. I am so excited for you, just like I was when my date approached. I touch my neck all the time in amazement that I now have a defined neck and jaw line. He is amazing.

Friend who opposed my surgery is now considering it herself!!

My husband and I went out for supper with some friends on New Year's day. Everyone at the table is in their 50's but me (49). They had lots of questions about my surgery and after pain ect. Age was a big topic of the evening, being brought up by our friends over and over, they said I look 35. So I said to my friend, why don't you look into it? She said she might, her husband had already been talking about it since they saw me last. This is from a couple (who are both psychiatrists) that when I told them I was getting 'work' done, said it was very sad that I let society push me into major surgery, that I did not need it. I am glad I did this, I feel so much better now. I admit I do not want everyone to know that I had 'work' done, but I am not ashamed of it. I am pretty sure that I will have more surgery, a mommy makeover. Why not? Why should I let myself go if I can do something about it? I snapped a couple pictures before I left to eat with my friends, never would have done this before I had surgery.

You look great, and why not take advantage of all that life has to offer us right now? Today is what we have, so seize it! Can't help but chuckle a bit at the turnarounds with your friends. hehe XO
Funny how opinions change! You are looking fantastic x
Did you find out what type of SMAS lift he performed on you. I'm the curious one who asked the question earlier in your recovery:) Looking great in your pictures!
I was kicking myself after I left my last appointment because I forgot to ask the name. I had so many things to discuss that day. I have some swelling just in front of my ears, not bad anymore, feels hard, maybe stiff is a good way to describe it. It is much better and improving everyday. When I asked my PS about the area in front of my ears he said that he worked deep in that area, tightened muscles and the SMAS layer. I do not know if that gives you an idea, i guess I should know what it is called.
Oh I understand:) I can barely see the incisions in front of your ear. Were they placed in front of the tragus or within the ear?
Incision is right along the top edge of the tragus, it is virtually invisible. All incisions around the ear are so close to the ear edge that I doubt anybody would ever notice. I don't have to worry about somebody seeing them at all. I was called out on facebook, my Christmas pictures, by my cousin , who said 'you look younger' I just replied back that I lost some weight and my face is thinner. Seemed to work, she hasn't said anything else. We live several states away, but talk almost everyday by phone and text, Even the day of surgery. I feel bad not telling her but she still lives in my small hometown and I do not want all the gossips to know (small towns love to gossip).
Hi BE YOU tiful, You had an amazing transformation and look both beautiful and confident! My sister was the same way, against PS, but is now considering it after seeing my results. Isn't it amazing how many people clamor around asking questions about PS, wanting to know your experience?! I noticed this after my procedures in 2011 and wanted to start a business based on sharing this PS information, but then noticed that Real Self existed! A day late and a dollar short, lol. Happy New Year! Warmest regards, murphus
Congrats...you look great! I aged dramatically with menopause as well...I swear every six months I aged two years!
