I was 11 when I first start noticing my nose didn't fit my face like other people's noses fit theirs. I remember googling "how to make your nose look smaller" and even begging my mom to buy me some foreign products that supposedly "shrunk" your nose overnight. I hated looking in the mirror. As I got older, I realized rhinoplasty was an option to help my insecurity, but I never thought it would be a reality for me. I spent years... and when I say years, I actually mean YEARS, researching plastic surgeons in my area and around the globe... just toying with the idea that maybe just ONE day I would finally be able to get a rhinoplasty done. It wasn't until I found Dr. Nayak that I decided my dream of rhinoplasty can and should become a reality. I was in awe of his work, the way he made his patients look so natural, like they were born with the nose he made for them. I decided then he was the surgeon I wanted to have if I actually went through with this procedure... so I called his office and spoke with his friendly staff who answered all my questions that I could have and more. Never once did I feel pressured to make an appointment or to commit to anything. It wasn't until over 6 months after that initial phone call that I had the courage to call back and actually make the appointment to see Dr. Nayak and discuss rhinoplasty. When I finally went to my appointment, I told Dr. Nayak about what I liked and disliked about my nose. He listened to all of my concerns and did not dismiss any one of them. He then took me into his imaging room to show what he had in mind for me, and his edited 3D image of what I would look like with my 'new and improved' nose was so amazing and realistic, the deposit for the appointment alone was worth that picture. That very same day, we scheduled a date for my surgery. When the day of surgery finally came, I wasn't nervous. I had been watching Dr. Nayak's snapchats of his surgeries, and I knew that if he's broadcasting his surgeries to the globe... he must be pretty confident in his work. Therefore, I'm confident in him and his team. The surgery came and went with a breeze. His surgical staff was great and kind. I had very little pain, and I even started going back to college three days later. When Dr. Nayak removed my cast a week later, I cried when I saw my reflection in the mirror. The girl who once looked in the mirror and hated what she saw now saw a nose that she loved (although it was a little swollen
