I was 25 years-old, I went from an A cup to a C cup. 450cc in each breast, aureola incision, under the muscle. I did write about the leak here: http://www.realself.com/forum/right-breast-leak-after-105-years
Almost 11 years later my right breast went flat. I made an appointment for a consult with Dr Peterson and then made an appt for surgery. I went back
-in-forth from saline to silicone. But I did decide on silicone because if there is a leak, you won't know. And I found out that I got a discount from the implant company because I was upgrading.
One week before surgery was my pre-op appointment and we decided on 700cc silicone. It sounds big. I was either worried they were going to be too big or not big enough. I wasn't nervous because I had a marathon 3-days before and I had lots of homework to do too. I was very preoccupied. They called the day before and told me my appointment was at 7:30am! I was most nervous of the pain. The first time around it was so painful, almost unbearable.
This time: I woke up after surgery, and I remember crying a little and saying they didn't look big enough. But everyone assured me 700cc was big. Lol Well it is what it is, I'm not doing surgery again unless it's needed. We will see how they look, it's only been two days.

My husband drove me home and I had some pain in my right breast, which was the deflated one. At one point my left breast didn't hurt at all. So I decided I didn't need hydrocodone anymore. Well I was wrong, apparently it does work. It also makes me sleepy and dizzy. I have been watching tons of movies.
The pain hasn't been to bad, I'm really pleased with that. Dr Peterson called me the same day of surgery around 9:pm and asked how I was doing. How nice!
I went to the follow up the next day at 3:30 and everything seems ok. I go back in two weeks. I can walk around fine, but the meds just keep me in bed. I have pushed the silicone up 3-times a day like the doc said. To give the implant room or space.

Today is day 2. I feel really bloated and I think I've gained like 10 lbs. I've been drinking lots of water and I've had friends bring me dinner every night. I have the best friends ever! My husband has been great with the kids and helping me too.
I still think they are smaller than I wanted. But they also look like rectangles right now too. I will post more pics as they change. Right now I'm feeling a little nauseous. Not sure why. I'll keep you updated... I hope these pics don't post upside down.

No problems. But when I started running five years ago, my top right implant had a crease, I could feel it and poke it from my skin. it only bugged when I ran- then I just stopped noticing it. Well 5 years later of that rubbing it created a hole and I got my leak. BUT I would definitely recommend silicone!! I LOVE the feeling WAY better than water.

They look amazing! I'm getting my 375cc redone in July to 600. I'm worried they won't be big enough. I don't know if I can talk him into going bigger. I love the way yours look with no bra. I go back in 3 weeks to my last appointment and I'll find out I guess. I think I want 650cc. Hopefully he will do it. Mine are just stretched out from breastfeeding 5 kids. I've hated my old ones for the 10 years I have had them. I hope they look good this time bc I can't redo them again. I currently have one on my shoulder and the other one is under my arm pit. I always wear a sweater bc they look so bad. I hate summer bc it's too hard to hide them. I hope mine look as good as yours.

Where do you suppose all that silicon ended up? Did your surgeon explain?
I had the same..you need to be aware of future problems that arise from surplus silicon in your body...

Day 3. They don't look so much like rectangles anymore. I feel way better. Moving around is easy. I helped make breakfast this morning. I'm not in any pain right now. It just feels a little tight. Tomorrow is our anniversary and I'm hoping I will feel good enough to not take any meds, then I can go out. I was able to sleep on my side a bit, which is so nice and comfortable.

We are in the same boat! Had breast augmentation 11 years ago. Last year left side ruptured. Going in for remove and replace Tuesday 9/12. Going to do silicon this time around. I had said the first time I would never do it again. The pain was so so bad. Could not wash my hair for 2 weeks. ? Is what was your weight and breast size before first augmentation? I'm 420cc now going to possible 550cc or 650cc. Won't know until the surgery is done. Don't want to go to big but also want to be bigger. And are you in as much pain as the first augmentation ?

I've had these implants for 23 yrs. It's my second surgery. They need a major refill. Who finances this?

I think they look pretty similar to day 3. I am moving around way better. Last night I did not an take Advil PM, and I did wake up 3 times to pee and roll to the other side, slightly. I'm still sleeping inclined, but not as much and I can lean to the side a little and not have pain. I've only had two excederine today and I'm feeling pretty good. No pain right now. Just tired from being out-and-about this morning. I went to walmart to get a couple new bras that I'm supposed to wear the next week and a half. I'll keep you updated!
