The title says it all. My children were born...

The title says it all. My children were born c-section and I have a vertical scar. Even with a significant weight loss of about 70 lbs (not to mention the years of yo-yo dieting) I could never get rid of the belly that resembles a butt and now my boobs, well there is not a Victoria Secret bra in the world that can change that! Anyway, I'm ready to look as vibrant and young as I feel on the inside. My husband is deployed right now, and I almost didn't tell him, but after much prayer and reflection, I decided that this is just too major of a surgery (not to mention the cost) to not tell him. He's known for years that I have wanted to do this, and bless his supportive heart, he has always assured me I was beautiful to him, but he would not ever hold me back from doing what I truly desired. Anyway, I am glad I told him, now our anticipated home coming celebration is even more fun to plan. My surgery is tomorrow (2-8-16) and my adult daughter is going to be here to help me. I'm excited but the anxious feeling is almost over whelming. If there are ANY tips someone who has been through this could share with me, or If there is anything you can suggest that I do today to be prepared for tomorrow, I would appreciate it so much!! I have my bedding for the recliner ready, shower chair, bendy straws, wife-beater t-shirts, large zip up sweat shirts, large sweat pants, non-skid slippers, pain meds, prune juice, dry shampoo, moist body wash cloths....Anything I didn't think of??

1day post op

So today has not been too bad. Went back to doctor to check in and got to see my breast and I am very happy so far!! I'm trying to walk small bits at a time and taking my meds every 4 hours so I don't let myself get in to too much pain. I'm sore of course but I knew that was a huge factor going into this. For all the ladies about to go in for this, I know it's scary but once you're in the middle of it, then just listen to your doctor and your body. We all heal differently but ultimately we all heal. This photo is after bandage came off and sports bra put on. When I am moving better and can take a selfie, I'll post another but I don't think my daughter is ready to see mom in all her glory yet LOL

3 days post op

Took a shower today. Still very sore but making progress. My drains are only about 25cc every 6 hours and the color is getting lighter and lighter. Thought I would take a photo while my under garments were in the wash. They're swollen and tender but not painful!!

From the beginning I have been so happy I chose and went with Dr. Sweat. From the first time I met the staff at the front door I felt a connection to all of them. Dr. Sweat sat with me and we discussed why I felt I needed this procedure, he never made me feel like he was just looking at dollar signs when he saw me. He is professional and is to the point, he never promised this would be an easy procedure, but he did promise he would do everything in his power to eliminate as much of the pain and discomfort as he could and he absolutely delivered on that promise. His technique of using the special solution during surgery that helps eliminate pain I feel made the entire difference for how well my recovery has progressed. He WILL be the first doctor I recommend to anyone who is considering any and all plastic surgery procedures.
