I am 58 years old and am getting ready to have my 31 year old implants removed. I have not had any problems with them but am concerned about their age and my health. I hope I feel better once they are removed. The women who have shared their stories on this site is giving me the strength to do this and I am so grateful. I will post pictures soon. I have my pre op appointment today.

Pre Op Appointment
Had my appointment yesterday and the surgeon was very patient answering all my questions (I made a list of 17 Questions). Now just one week to go. I didn't mention my implants are under the muscle.

That is wonderful that you wrote out a list of questions for your pre-op. Its so easy to get to an appointment & blank on half of the stuff you intended to ask.
It seems as the date gets closer emotions can start fluctuating quite a bit. How are you feeling about it all today?

I feel pretty calm about it actually, I am a little anxious about being put out and hopefully I am not sick after. Well I am also a little anxious about what I will look like too, but everyone on here looks great after having it done so it is encouraging. Thanks for asking.

Hi Nocones! Wishing you an easy surgery and speedy recovery. I am 69 and had my 32 year old silicone, under the muscle, implants out in April. I never looked back, am happy, happy, that I did it - you will look and feel great. I was a little worried about the anesthesia as I know a lot of people get sick. Don't know if it was what helped but I put myself on a liquid diet the day before and I was absolutely fine. Enjoy your new shape - more youthful and athletic I think!!

Glad you aren't waiting. Good job with the list of questions. This is an excellent site for info & encouragement. Sounds like you're organized & ready. The week will seem to go slowly but take the time to prepare. Good luck

Thanks you. I caught my PS smiling over my list and then I asked questions about the authorization form, but want to know everything.
I'm 60 two days before my surgery on Oct 10th. Feeling apprehensive but excited. Like you I feel mine have passed their sell by date! About 25/6 years now. My left side does give me discomfort and I've been wanting to do this since 2011. I'm having my second consultation soon to ask a few more questions and seeking re-assurance. Otherwise I have complete faith in my chosen surgeon. All the best and I'll keep you posted x
