I am happy I had my implants removed but am disappointed in how I look. I am hoping they will improve but will most likely need surgery.

Hi I go to get my last drain out today it has been 8 days, the other one came out somehow 4 days ago and had to go to the doctors office and they did not reinsert it even though it was still draining.

I see changes daily, one side more so than the other. I feel great though only took the prescribed pain medicine 2 - 3 days.

Thanks for your support!

I am 1 month post explant today and my results continually get better :) when they were first out it was like my skin was real thin and floppy like my boobs both had babies and I had post pregnancy belly feeling and look in my breast and they were smaller than before but now they improve everyday. My skin is getting back to normal and the empty part in the upper pole is back to normal. I hope I see even more improvements as time passes. My implants gave me stretchmarks and I've been using a needle roller and aloe Vera and all natural lotion with vitamin e and c in it... I think that may be helping my skin to rebound. Maybe not but they are looking pretty good :) I've also been doing chest exercises to tone that area and staying hydrated. I think the chest exercises helped my upper pole look better because it seems to bring everything up a bit. I had to start out real light and still do pretty light exercises because I'm only 1 mo post op. Sorry to write so much but just wanted to share my experience. I wish you the best in your healing process!!! You will look great!

Be kind to yourself that exercising isn't too soon.

Good for you! Your preop pics look amazing! I can't believe your age and age of implants! Did you have the capsules removed? Had silicone leaked badly? How are you doing now?

In second week post op and feeling more discomfort than in first. Was not requiring the pain meds first week, but using them now. Does anyone relate?

I would email or call dr. The drive back home had to take a toll but that has been a week.

Spoke with Julie and she did remark that many felt they had overdone first week----hubby seems to think that it is internal healing. If feeling same on Monday will inquire of Dr. H

I used meds first 24-48 hours. the second week I did have a few days that I was more sore and took a pain pill. Make sure your not overdoing anything!

I wonder if it is nerve endings healing reattaching since capsules out too. I'll be thinking of you.

Not using your upper body or arms too much (lifting, reaching)

Probably more than should--- how does one know when enough is far enough? :)

Can riding in car with jolts not help---- probably reaching higher than should or lifting / scooting more weight than should. Don't know parameters to be within. Do you?

Especially since we are in our 60's, had implants for many years, and had capsules out....I think we should be extra conservative and give plenty of time for healing. Take the next week off. Be careful.

It is so hard to not lift things or scoot things, I know. I try not to do any but I have. I don't think we should be doing any.

Yep and I didn't listen and vacuumed at like 5 weeks... At my post op visit the following week I had developed a seroma in right breast that had to be drained!

Well I got my bandages off today and it was such a shock. I am really concave and feeling sad. I hope there is fluffing. I was so hoping they would look better than they do.

Congrats on your decision! It takes time...LOTS of time for your breasts to recover. You will see..every day will be better than the last. Every week you will see results...and with each month you will think they are healed to what they will forever look like, but then with another passing month they look..and feel even better. The important thing is...you are YOU now. And that is the most beautiful thing you can ever be. :) Happy healing!

Thank-you natural...I even need this reassurance a month down the road. I am amazed at the constant changes. Hoping mine look better than now. But even if they don't, it was still the right decision.

The best part of all this is that it is over!! I too was a bit shocked when I first glimpsed " my girls" but ladies on this sight also give me hope that all changes with time. Certainly not the look as we had before but do feel good that a foreign body has been removed. PS said that more delay would just make a removal more difficult. As it was they were able to remove EN BLOC and the rupturing that had occurred was all contained In the capsule, I am 69 and had the inplants for 38+ wonderfully uncomplicated years. Had surgery 10/1 so just a day ahead of you. Take it easy---I overdid yesterday and feel sore today so must take it more slowly. Had drains also and good now that they are removed. Good to be on other side and good to be just me. Will be lucky to be an A but know that I am not alone as I once thought . Many thoughts your way-- keep communicating.

Concave----yes---think the compression we need at first can be responsible for this?

I am just hoping for the fluff fairy, it could be the bra but not sure.
