23yr Old- Rhinoplasty - Sacramento, CA

for those looking at just the picture: I asked for a small bump so it didnt look like I had work done. its in my computer generated image as well. I had a very bulbous tip with a square under it. I was really insecure about my nose and had been doing though some grief when I finally decided to get it done. I will say this: my nose job in my opinion is really well done, but I do somehwat regret erasing a bit of my iranian identity. I feel like I should have asked it to be slightly bigger because my dad was sad I took too much off (but by no means did I take "too much off" for a normal person, my family just didnt want me to get it done at all).  I chose Dr. Clark because he does tips very well. I went to 12 consults (I think 8 doctors) including some in Los angeles. My top 3 were Clark, Frankel, and another in LA. I felt Frankel and Clark could do what I wanted but Clark just happened to be in my city and I just got a good feeling about him.  If anyone wants, I can load the computer projected images---but spoiler the real nose looks exactly like the projected one.  CONS I do have a knot of cartilage on the side of my nose that I had before; this is not the doctors fault. As with all septoplasties, my septum has gone back somewhat to its crooked tendancy making my breathing a little off. One nostril is a tiny bit bigger than the other. I might get this fixed in-office when I have the time/money. It happens with all surgeries...Im just a perfectionist.  The staff was alright too. I got my nose done over spring break on a whim. Definately take 1 week for full facial brusing, and a total of 3 weeks for bloody eyes.

This is something I wanted done since I was 11. My primary concern was not achieving a natural look; I wanted an improvement without looking artificial and the skill to do this was my main criteria.
Searching for a Rhinoplasty specialist was a long quest, after consulting with 8 different surgeons I ultimately converged on two who happened to also be in my state (Clark in Sac and another in LA).
My approach was probably unconventional as I went to 4 consultations with Clark before booking the surgery. You really should put an immense amount of research into who will be permanently altering your face, definitely have as many consults with as many surgeons as possible & I would suggest including Clark. In your search for any surgeon, definitely be aware of patient reviews and possible dangers but remember that there are those who are chronically unsatisfied, regardless of result (unfortunately it comes with the demographic of those of us unhappy with out bodies).
My nose looks exactly like the projected computer image, that being said you should decide carefully. my first images were of a smaller nose, but I finally decided on a more natural rendition to look like a better version of my own rather than something easily identifiable as having surgery done.
My rhinoplasty was closed and I am now at 1 yr post-op; had bridge reduction and tip work to make less bulbous.
