I had my first facelift far too early about 10 years ago and so as my face began to age naturally, the old scars around and behind my ears stretched to a point where they were so wide I couldn't wear my hair off of my face. My earlobes stretched so much that they blended into the sides of my neck, my jawline was sagging and I felt very self-conscious. I researched obsessively and consulted with what I deemed to be the best UK surgeons, all of whom I felt were able to revise my previous facelift whilst achieving a completely natural look. I had no wish to look 25 again, I just wanted a fresh, natural look without any visible scars. I wanted to look good but needed to know I'd be in safe hands and get the results I was hoping for. (N.B. I was only able to put the cost in USD but it was just under GBP £9,000 and worth every penny

How old were you when you had your first facelift and was it a full facelift or mini facelift?

Looks very good . May I ask who you went to and what age you were when you had your first one done . I'm 53 and thinking about the full works with Dominic bray, reviews on here are fab ? Not many other reviews with other surgeons though !! Not sure why

I went to Roger Smith 10 years ago I'm 53 now. I consulted with Dominic Bray aswell but I felt my procedure was too complicated to have carried out in a clinic rather than a hospital under local anesthetic

The old scars had stretched as gravity took its toll over the years. Mr Pacifico removed all my old scars and hid all the new ones

You look just great. May I ask which other surgeons you consulted? Did you need to have drains, and did you have the under-chin incision?

Thank you! I feel great! I consulted with Dominic Bray and Raj Grover but decided on Marc Pacifico which for me was the best choice. I had drains for 24 hours but no chin incision in fact there's little evidence of any incisions anywhere after 8 weeks :)

Can I ask why you went with Mr Pacifico rather than Mr Bray (who seems to specialise in faces) for your revision? it must have been a big decision as it was a revision - what was it that persuaded you in the end?

Dominic Bray performs his surgery under local anaesthetic in his clinic which is fine for straight forward surgeries (in my opinion) however revisions are much more complicated and mine took 4.5 hours. For me it was important to be in hospital in case of an emergency and also to stay in hospital to recover. Surgery is a very personal choice and I just felt Matc Pacifico was the right surgeon for me.

Fair enough - he seems like a nice guy from his you tube videos, which is important, as well as being skilled of course! He doesn't have many facelift reviews on realself, so yours is very interesting. Please keep posting as you go through recovery.
