I was seeking rejuvenation for both areas, and also beautification for the cheeks. The results far exceeded my expectations. It easily took 15, perhaps even 20 years off my hands. Raising the cheeks has had a significant positive effect on how I am perceived but is subtle enough that few will expect that any procedure has been done.

There was an enormous boost in my self confidence, and this was reflected in better job performance. I even won the "Most Outstanding" award in my area (out of about 40 - 50 professionals).

I only wish I'd known about these types of procedures, and Dr. Szczerba, earlier.

I have been to other PSs and feel that Dr Szczerba is truly outstanding. His results make a difference that significant, yet subtle. I would rate his skills at 10 out of 10. My experience was nearly flawless (see below). Every one from the receptionist to the patient coordinator to Dr Szczerba was warm, patient and genuinely caring. Dr. S takes his time with every patient, makes certain that you fully understand what he is going to do, and answers EVERY question. In my first consult, he was exceptionally open and I immediately felt comfortable. The only area in which I rated him as less than excellent was wait times, and this is SOLELY because he takes the time to answer EVERY question a prospective patient has.. which means his consults sometimes run over. But rest assured, when your time comes, he will spend as long as needed with YOU. I was treated well by everyone in the office, and left with complete confidence that he was my choice of surgeon. That feeling proved to be completely justified, as I am delighted (a word I do not use lightly) with the outcome of my procedures.

What an awesome review, and congratulations on your award!!!  How was the pain with the fat transfer, and I'm curious to know the recovery for fat transfer to hands.  Were you unable to use them for a while?

Hi Kate,

Thank you for your kind words (smile).

My hands were a little sensitive for a few weeks, but I it didn't interfere with my ability to do anything (it might have made it difficult to wear gloves... I don't know because I did this in the summer).

And it was a few weeks before the swelling came down - before that they looked a bit strange.

I am VERY glad I did this. Before I had a reasonably youthful face but my hands gave away my age. Not anymore (grin!).

Yay!!! So glad to hear that.  It is interesting and good news the recovery is so fast and you do not have a huge downtime.  I have very old looking hands so I was curious about this treatment.  For some reason my entire life they have been very wrinkly.  

 

If you ever decide to upload photos of your hands we would love to see them!

Do you think it would be all that useful without a "before" picture?

In any event, I don't have a camera and feel a little weird about approaching somebody and saying , "Hey, would you take a picture of my hands? (smile)

Hi there! I just scheduled a consultation for a fat transfer to the lips with Dr. Sczerba and wanted to see if now that it's been a couple of years since your surgery, has the fat in your hands reabosorbed, or are you still happy with your results? What was the longevity of the fat transfer? Thanks!
Jasmine, I was reading your question to the docs about fat transfer to your hips and couldn't find a way to message you. I'm in the same boat with too much lipo being done on my outer thighs and looking for a way to fix it. Were you able to get it done? Feel free to message me if you can.
