I have only had my consultation and pre op so far .My surgery is the 12th and I'm getting nervous . I'm getting silicone mentor implants moderate plus profile with a mini lift . Not sure if I really need the mini lift or not , but worried I'll want it later on down the road . I'm very excited and scared at the same time .

What an exciting time for you! I also had a BL/BA so I know how you feel. Do you know what size implant you’ll be getting? Any other details you have to share (i.e. implant type/size, lift type, specs) would be interesting to know. Wishing you the best! :-)

Thank you , I'm so nervous . We tried the 425 cc on up to the 475 cc . He said he would try a few and see which looks the best tomorrow. I also paid for a mini lift , but could change my mind tomorrow before surgery if I wanted to . I'm just not sure if I need it. I did breast feed all my kids , lost volume on top and it's hard for me to tell without the volume if I need the mini lift or not . Are you happy with your results ? I feel all panicky right now .

Yes I’m truly happy with my results. But I will admit it was a long road to get there. I did need revisions. If you’re feeling doubt about the lift there’s certainly nothing wrong with doing it into steps. Get the implants first and follow up with a breast lift if you feel you need it later on. Some say it’s actually safer to do it this way; combining the opposing forces a breast lift with the weight/stress of the implants is a much more complicated surgery then just a regular breast augmentation. Good luck with your decision. Just curious do you have any before pics to share?

Is your surgeon wanting to give u a mini lift to make your areola more symetrical? Thats why he did it to me. It wasnt saggy breast , it was my nipples where 2 cm difference in height so if he added implant without the lift then it could have came out looking " cross eyed" lol. Best of wishes u will get through it

To follow up on our discussion below: judging by your pics your areolas appear to be well above your crease. There are a number of PS that would say you do not need a lift gives this factor. And as you said your PS suggested you could go either way. If you’re still uncertain (on whether to get the lift or not) you may want to post your pics in the doctors Q&A section here for opinions; you’ll also want to post side angle pics in addition to the front view in the doctors Q&A for the best response. Just curious will your implants be placed over or under your pectoral muscles? Some say implants over the muscle give the breasts more of a lift compared to going under. You appear to have enough breast tissue for overs (imo)... depending on the implant size you choose. I have “overs”. Of course this is a matter to discuss with your PS. FYI there are a number PS in the United States that were only trained to do “unders”, so that’s all they will recommend. Hopefully your PS can do either and will give you an honest objective opinion. Good luck. :-)

Thank you for your comments , you have been very helpful . I believe the implants are under the muscle. I still feel like i could just get the implants and it will fill out the upper portion of my breasts . I'm too iffy about the mini lift as well .
