After 40 years of battling the bulge, I visited Dr. Pryor to inquire about a tummy tuck. After extensive research, I had decided to add liposuction to the procedure and a do a "one stop shop" so I had only one recovery for the procedures. The Tummy Tuck, followed by liposuction of the sides, back, chest and underneath the chin, slowed me down only for a few weeks. The first night was the toughest, but I was in Dr. Pryors office the next day, and with a new outlook on my lifestyle.
The recovery took a number of weeks, but as the weeks progressed, I could feel better almost daily and really notice the results.
The worst part was the surgical drains, and it was more because they are inconvenient. They dont hurt just a pain in the but. (helpful hint, amazon sells a sling to hold them around your neck while you shower, well worth the $20!) The binder and undergarments were very comfortable and made me feel more comfortable until the healing process had completed. Time went by quickly and with the results I experienced, it completely changed my lifestyle. Working out , eating right came much more naturally and i couldnt be happier with the results.

I’ve been considering abdominoplasty, and have actually been considering Dr. Pryor, as well. I was wondering if I could ask a couple quick questions.
You mentioned you decided to add in liposuction; however, I thought lipo was part of the procedure (unless you were referring to the additional sites).
I was also a bit surprised at the cost you posted. It was my understanding a tummy tuck was closer to $5,000 - $8,000 (which is still above my budget). How much of the $12k was the abdominoplasty? Did you consult w/ any other docs in the area?
Sorry for all the questions, this has just been weighing on me heavily for a couple years now, so someone who’s actually gone through it w a doctor I’ve been considering is an invaluable resource.
Oh, one last thing, how bad was the scarring?
