I've been unhappy with my body forever! Especially after giving birth 2 a 10 lb. baby. By the time i was 6mos. I had already gotten a road map of stretch marks. Im hispanic with hispanic genes..which means for ME, box shape, no butt & the ability 2 gain weight by looking at food! This is by no means a dis on my race, i love my heritage but HEY, it is what it is. I lost 60 lbs. after giving birth to my 1st child & was left with excess loose skin & my stretch marks were more noticeable. I'm proud of my weight loss..I busted my a$$ 2 lose each pound! I thought ok, now ill be happy. Well, that wasnt the case. I was more confident & looked great in clothes, but once the clothes came off i was hit with the reality of lose skin with horrible strechmarks. It was SO depressing. Fast forward 8 yrs, welcomed my second child this one only 8 lbs. & even more stretchmarks! Fast forward to present day. Ive decided 2 take the plunge & do it! Ive been wanting a "mommy makeover" 4 over a decade. Ive decided that now is the time. Im not expecting to look like Sophia Vegara. Although hubby & i would be over the moon happy if that was my result. ;-) my goal is 2 not cringe at my body when i see myself naked in a mirror. Im SUPER nervous & excited at the same time. Everyday is different..one day i wake up & think this is gonna be awesome cant wait 2 do this! Other days i wake up thinking, what am i doing? Why put your body through mutilation AND your going 2 pay for it! Not a few thousand but its like buying a car!! OMG!! Im sure those are normal feelings/thoughts. I can only imagine the emotional rollercoaster ill be on AFTER my surgery. My poor hubby..im trying 2 prepare him & im constantly showing him before & after pics & reading out loud realself testimonials. I cant express my gratitude for this website! I LOVE Realself & its brought encouragement & most importantly knowledge. Ok, other "realselfers" wish me luck & great results!!

Good luck, and I am right there with you on what you said about vacillating between excitement and fear, and the cost! My date is a month away, I'm Obsessed with these updates and though most people's recovery seem bare able , some days I feel the anxiety will be too much! But I know I'll be in good hands. Just want to be on the 3 days post op side if things!!

Yup, its crazy uh? My husband says im "obsessed" with this website but I think we need 2 educate ourselves & we need 2 hear others share their experience. Its SO helpful & seeing these post op pics is great. I need 2 see the scary pics that u dont see in your ps office. All u see is "before & after" pics, but no inbetween while your healing. Those pics arent so pretty. Its mentally preparing us for our recovery. Who wouldve thought that the emotional ups & downs were so crazy?!?! Im SO excited for u & cant wait 2 see your results! Wishing u awesome results & a speedy recovering....with the least amount of pain. :D

Thank you for sharing your journey with us. It's so great to hear that the community has helped you. It's very natural to feel like you're on an emotional roller coaster. We even created this funny forum post about it. Good luck and let us know how we can help.

What if my results aren't noticeable??

Ok, so I'm sure this a common fear, but what if my results aren't noticeable? I just would hate to go through the pain, the cost & the emotionally rollercoaster for a couple inches off my waist. I'm so paranoid bout scars and I have a few already, but this will be by far the largest scar and I think no matter how much I mentally prepare for this MM that when I see it I'm gonna freak out!! The scars in no way deter me from going forward with this. I see reviews and pics with great results and I'm just hoping mines good 2. I want it 2 be noticeable and it would really suck if no one could tell. I know a TT is not a weight loss tool but for $14k it better show!!! Geezzz, I have 2 much time 2 think about it August seems SO far away! The good thing bout that is I need to get my butt in the gym & work as much off as possible. Thank u ladies for sharing your story and pics! I love see the "before and afters", its inspiring.

If you're anything like me, you are already a master of disguising your problem areas with clothes. If no one sees the changes that happen under those clothes they will most definitely notice the improvement in your confidence! My confidence is the biggest enhancement that my mm afforded me. What are you having dine in your mm? I didn't lose a lbs even with the fix of my giant stomach (pics on my review) I couldn't freaking believe it! Not a damn pound but the shape shifting is great. When I bend over No Flabby loose skin!!! Your tummy is going to look boss in a swim suit!!! If there was hope for me there is a sexy future for you. You and you're husband will likely be the only ones noticing the scar, which will fade eventually but it's not for the faint! I believe by this time next year, you will be struttin around in a bikini

I just saw your response. Thanks for encouraging words. Your results are awesome and your boobs are great. I'm glad you mentioned you didn't lose any weight. I figured I'd lost 5 lbs, but knowing that isn't the case is good 2 know in advance. I'm having a full TT with lipo and a breast lift & breast aug. The augmentation is just for the upper pole fullness I want. I'm not interested in going up a size. I was told I'd lose a cup with the lift so I'd like my size but with upper pole fullness. You know, I'd like a round breast..not the sad looking ones I currently have. So, what I'm hearing is that while I won't lose any weight, I'll look better with & without clothes. Did you lose any pant sizes? I assume you'd drop a size or 2 without the belly.
