I'm so excited to finally take this step towards a new chapter of my life. I'm finished having children, and I'm ready to look in the mirror and start to like what I see again. I had my first child at 18, and that pregnancy left me covered with stretch marks and stretched out skin. I lost all the baby weight and still never felt comfortable in my skin again. Fast forward 17 years and 2 more kids, and it was hard to find the motivation to lose the weight of those pregnancies knowing that some things wouldn't improve. I still have weight to lose, but I'm ready to take this step to take back my body.

This doesn't feel real
I can't believe I'm almost there. I've been cleaning, shopping, and trying to do everything I can to prepare, but I know that I will not feel prepared no matter what I do! I have been stalking this site for months, and I appreciate all of the reviews so much for helping me to prepare. I am so scared to post pictures, but I know how much they've helped me, so I'm trying to pay it forward. They were so hard to take though. Here goes nothing! Four more days and hopefully I'll be happy to share pics!

Which doctors did you check out in the Austin area? There are so many! How did you make your final choice?

I moved here in March from Tulsa, so I had originally consulted with three doctors there. When I decided to go through with the surgery it was October already and I needed to have it done in January. I admit it's not the best way to pick a surgeon, but it did narrow the field. I basically chose the doctors that had the best reviews and started calling to see who I could see in time. So, the only other doctor I consulted with here in Austin is Dr. Ashley Gordon. When I had the consult with Dr. Kerr, he really took time to explain everything, and his reviews were great, so I felt really comfortable choosing him.

I had a really hard time deciding between her and Dr. Kerr. She does something called the tummy tuck 360 which I was really interested in. It was $10,000 more than a regular tummy tuck though. She developed it with her partner, and they are the only doctors that do it. When I decided not to do that, it was a fairly easy decision for me. I felt that she is so passionate about that procedure that she may not be as concerned with a patient who was having a full tummy tuck instead. It was just a concern of mine... I still think she is a great doctor and her staff was very friendly. You'll love her!

So never did I think that the journey to a sexier me would include buying the unsexiest bras and panties I've ever bought! Ewww. Here's a few pics of what feels like a mountain of meds for after that my dr prescribed and the pjs, bras, and panties for recovery.
