WORTH IT$8,400
I researched a breast lift about 10 years ago and had a few consultations, but couldn't find a surgeon that I felt comfortable with, that I felt was listening to me. I felt like they wanted to do what they wanted, and not what I wanted, which was just fuller lifted breasts, I didn't want to look like a overinflated 20 year old. So, I let it go then. Since then, I’ve gained and lost weight several times, and now was in great shape, except for my breasts. I’m 5’5” 145 and my breasts were so deflated and looked horrible. It really affected my self confidence and how clothes fit and looked. So now, I had no excuse, it was time to seriously research a lift again. I talked to several people that had procedures, and researched many doctors, and fortunately for Real Self, was able to get real insight. I narrowed it down to 3 surgeons and set up consultations.
Dr Mahlon Kerr was my second consultation, and although the first surgeon was nice, and thorough, I just didn’t feel at ease and confident that he understood what I was looking for. When I met with Dr Kerr, he was so friendly, and down to earth. I instantly felt comfortable, he listened to me, answered my questions, addressed my concerns and even illustrated the procedure. He was very confident and reassuring that I would get the results I wanted. I cancelled my 3rd consult and booked my surgery with Dr Kerr the next day.
I was scheduled for either an anchor or lollipop lift with 500cc silicone moderate profile under the muscle. On surgery day they had sent 475 and 525cc’s. Dr Kerr asked me what I would prefer and although I was leaning toward smaller, I left the decision to him and I’m so glad! He went with 525cc moderate under muscle with a lollipop lift, no need for the anchor. I was so relieved as it was one less scar.
Recovery was slow, as I was told, but I was impatient, and felt like strange things were happening to my body on a daily basis, there was alot more bruising at the end of week one that lasted until week 3. The breasts did drop at different times, the left was way ahead of the right, but overall, I just needed to be more patient. I am so pleased with the incisions. You really can’t see the incisions around my nipples unless you really look and the vertical incisions are healing nicely with scar away tape and scar cream started at week 3. My right breast really started dropping fully at about week 13, which I thought was forever, but now I’m at 5 months and they are dropped and fluffed and looking fabulous. I’m still using scar tape and cream and will for a few more months as I really want the incisions to fade as much as possible.
I’m so happy with my results, I have rejuvenated breasts, which look great and fit me perfectly. I was such a positive experience, I wish I had met Dr Kerr 10 years ago, I would have done it then.
