54 Year Old, mini face lift with platysma plication and lip lift

I decided that it was time for me to take care of the issues that were bothering me. I became unhappy with the loose skin on my neck and my jawline. I also had a long distance between my nose and lip, if I did nothing, it would keep advancing. I had consultations with 3 doctors before I met Dr. Zuliani. I know that if I would have gone to him first, I would have looked no further! I appreciate Real Self because that's how I found him. Dr. Zuliani took time to examine me and answered all my questions. He specializes in facial surgeries only and has an impressive background. I decided right there and then that he would be my surgeon. I wanted a natural look and I knew that's what I would get. We decided that I would benefit from a mini face lift with platysma plication and lip lift. I'm not the bravest person in the world when it comes to surgery...I was worried about anesthesia and recovery. Dr. Zuliani really prepared me for all of this, he explained how the recovery process worked and gave me realistic expectations. I was prepared. I also must say that my history with anesthesia has always included upset stomach and vomiting. I had none of that this time. After surgery I was pretty exhausted and slept quite a bit. I was swollen. For a couple of days, I took the prescribed pain medicine, but really didn't need any after the first 2 to 3 days (third day, night only). I followed all the post op instructions. I took 3 weeks off of work and was comfortable going back. Besides my immediate family, I only told a few people. People had interesting comments, "did you get your hair cut? I really like it! " "You look like you have been working out". Even my dad didn't know that I had surgery, the first time he saw me, he just kept telling me how good I look. Best of all, I feel really great about doing this. I no longer care if my daughter snaps a picture of me while I'm driving

(silly snapchat).....I have more confidence and this great sense of agelessness. I feel and look refreshed! I have been back for botox and plan on seeing Dr. Zuliani for all my anti-aging concerns.
