I was very hesitant and couldn't decide between sculpsure or cool sculpting. After meeting Dr Shaw I felt comfortable and decided to go ahead and try the latest laser for zapping away my 46 year old "menopausal arms". After he evaluated me and explained the procedure the assistants came in & hooked me up. The set up does take a bit of time because the arms are very heavy and if they are not on just right they beep at you. During the treatment you can feel the intense heat (peaks) and then the cooling ...the nurse was great she kept me company to keep my mind off the sudden "hot" spots. After 25 minutes you are all done ...ladies you can feel the heat afterwards..almost like a sunburn and you do feel a bit sore. I did get the lumpiness a few days later and I massaged the area to break it down..:it made me happy to think those "clumps" were dead fat cells ready to be flushed away!!! I'm about 4 weeks out and I thought I would post this pic to show the subtle change I am experiencing now. I definately see more of a lift and the skin doesn't seem to hang as much..so I am hopeful the treatment worked. I am not sure about the price yet as I think it is very expensive in the long run in comparison to lipo...I believe arm lipo is around 3-6K. I do wish Dr Shaw would offer a complimentary follow up treatment to see further reduction since I'm not sure about the 25% reduction. I think I read somewhere the easiest way to explain it is if you are looking at your four fingers with your crossed over your palm and you take one finger away that's 25% but on an arm it is hard to judge. I have also seen cool sculpting results that look to be very impressive on the arms but it doesn't seem to be consistent across the board. I wish I had taken better pics but hopefully you can see the lift I think I'm seeing. Also I did my right outside thigh which had that lumpy cottage cheese look and I think I'm noticing less there as well..again very subtle. My daughter noticed the "dimpling" was less when I was sitting...you know what I'm talking about ..those little dimples when u sit n they smile back at you.
