Wow. I can't believe I am finally at the point where I am looking back and it has almost been a year since the Youtube vlog overdoses on rhinoplasty before and afters and all the stress of finding a cost effective, reliable surgeon.
Dr Ricketts is your doctor! Unbelievable communication and education throughout the whole process despite me calling her and her assistant pre and post op like 2-3 times a week haha.
They have this great technology which gives you a before and after concept of what realistic outcome we (you) both want to achieve. I'd suggest from experience that taking a few photos along with you to help share your vision with Dr Ricketts. She has those photos in surgery I believe as well as your 360 degree photos you take from all angles in her office in Richmond.
Take the time to research her, she has an amazing background and experience that makes getting a nose fixed allow her to really show some finesse. Sorry to go on but i'm stoked with mine... THE BIGGEST PART!!!!!: I had a wonky nose from footy and a hump from my ethnic background. So had the hump shaved, nose thinned a bit at the top and just a general tidy up because my septum was so damaged... I STUPIDLY went back to playing footy and had a guy run into me at full speed and headbutt my face and mainly my nose...... IT BLEW UP and I was like $%&* what have I done (since given it up) but the most important and comforting thing (once swelling came down after a few weeks) that the nose was rock solid and still kept its straightness and structure as if nothing had happened, can still breath through both nostrils fine. I took this knock so recently though that I need to let swelling go down due to such severe trauma to a restructured area but couldn't believe its strength.
ANYWAY! If you want a powerhouse of a surgeon who's focused on your results, comfort, extremely experienced (seriously look her up on Google) and has the ability to perform dynamite rhinoplastys. Then go see her and make your decision from there.
The photos here are from months back but I'll post more once my nose has come down a bit more from this hit. Will also show a front on photo (still looks awesome but to give you an end result ja feel?) Sophie continues support months and months post op.
*****BEEEEE PAATTTIEENNNNNTTTT**** once it's done you seriously stop caring because it looks so *****ing good. Especially the side profile early days. You will have a bit of thickness front on but it slims right down and time flies.
I found using Arnica tablets and cream to apply to it once your cast is off both helped.
Also get a really firm neckpillow like you use on a plane, keep yourself upright as much as possible.
GOOD LUCK - cheers
Cost $8-9k (depending on your circumstances rebates available)
P.S is there a 6 Star option? ******
