Wonderful Experience and So Happy with my (Still Early) Results

Jennifer Fraenkel
WORTH IT$25,000
I’m 10 days out from my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Reish and even though it’s still early, I couldn’t be happier with my (very) early results and my experience with Dr. Reish and his incredible medical team. I can’t speak for anyone else’s recovery because we’re all different but I followed Dr. Reish’s pre and post-op instructions *in excruciating detail* and after 10 days I have almost no bruising (you’d really have to look for it). I barely have any discomfort and while I’m still swollen (as one should be for several months), no one who doesn’t know me very well can tell I had anything done. Even though the swelling, I can absolutely see the vision and I COULD NOT be happier with my results so far. I’ll surely update this review with photos in time.

I did an ABSURD about research before even booking a consultation and Dr. Reish’s reputation, credentials and accolades speak for themselves. What really stood out was my friends experiences with him and other surgeons. I know several people who went to him for their second or even third revision (after going to other surgeons) and they finally had the experience they wanted and are so happy with their results. Everyone I know who went to Dr. Reish had results that are truly in harmony with the rest of their facial features and they all insisted he is the one to go to for rhinoplasty, without exception, and as soon as I got to my consult I understood why. He also gives every patient his cell phone number and encouraged me to text him questions anytime.

I’ve been uncomfortable with my nose for as long as I can remember. I’m not one to nitpick different parts of my face or body but my nose really stood out and was affecting the overall balance of my face. To say nothing of my confidence. I had a slightly pronounced dorsal hump, and a somewhat bulbus tip made my nose feel too long and (most unfortunately) hooked downward slightly when I smiled. That being said, I also did not want a perfect little Barbie nose with too much of a ski slope shape that I find so often in some rhinoplasty patients. I told Dr. Reish I really wanted to look like myself and to have my surgery be almost imperceptible to the people who know me. I just wanted to look like a slightly better version of myself with more balanced facial features. Dr. Reish understood my vision right away and broke down exactly what he would want to do with my nose to give me a really natural results without making any radical changes. I immediately knew I was in the best hands. His professionalism and bedside manner also put me completely at ease. You know how you just get a good feeling about some people? Well that’s how I felt, he really has integrity in his work.

To give you a timeline, my consult was 11/18 and I booked my surgery the same day. Surgery was scheduled for 12/15 and my virtual pre-op appointments with Dr. Reish and a member of the nursing team was scheduled for two weeks before surgery on 12/1.

Day of surgery I met with the kind and incredibly knowledgeable anesthesiologist, Dr. Lawhon. An absolute gem. General Anesthesia always makes me a little nervous but not this time. Rose was my nurse and she put me right at ease, escorting me to the surgical suite and getting me all set up.

I woke up from anesthesia to some discomfort but in my case, nothing that two Tylenol couldn’t handle. I was a little woozy on the way home but I slept very well, perched at 45° on my wedge pillow (that’s important!). I got a call from Dr. Reish the following morning before I even expected it and several more calls in texts in the following days from Dr. Reish himself and his nursing team. My post-op and cast removal was one week later.

I had not been happy with my facial balancing or most photos of myself since childhood (and I’m 41) but I’m already (finally!) happy looking at myself in the mirror which is more emotional than I expected in the best way possible. I can’t say enough about my experience with Dr. Reish, and I certainly tried here, so if you made it this far, thank you for reading!
