Wonderful doctor

I am at the two year mark from my primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Reish. Dr. Reish and his staff are extremely nice and responsive via text or a phone call.
I had surgery in May 2021. He was my first and only consultation. I requested an appt through RealSelf and did a FaceTime consult. I called the office the following week and was able to book a surgical date ~2 months later. My nose was pointy and the tip of my nose had cartilage that was uneven looking and I didn't like the way it looked. I am happy aesthetically how things turned out; he is very skilled. I had steroid injections that left a raised area b/c my skin must be thin and the tip looks slightly wider than before but I still think it looks better and the side view looks 100% better.
The only downside of this surgery is my breathing. A few weeks after surgery I noticed I had to "catch my breath" while talking, eating and drinking. I assumed it was swelling and would go away at the year mark but unfortunately breathing through my nose has not improved with time. My nose often makes a faint "whistling" type noise when I breathe in, and the sides of my nose sometimes go "in" when I inhale but not all the time. I finally saw an ENT who diagnosed me with internal nasal valve collapse and a deviated septum. He said he could fix the deviated septum and do turbinate reduction but recommended a plastic surgeon to help w/ the nasal valve collapse. I have learned that there’s a possibility I will need my ear, rib or cadaver cartilage to help with the nasal valve collapse if I do pursue a revision unless I have enough septal cartilage so I am undecided on what I’m going to do with that whole thing because I didn't see myself in this position but nobody does. I don’t think this is anyone’s fault and there are never any guarantees with surgery or anything in life. Although I now wish I left my wacky nose alone I understand that these things happen and it’s just how life goes sometimes. I still think Dr. Reish is a wonderful and kind doctor and recommend him.
