Wholehearted Recommendations for Dr Badia and Team

I had open rhinoplasty with Dr Badia in May this year and I am so pleased with the outcome and the experience throughout. Following a childhood accident twenty years ago I had a bump and a sharp ridge on the bridge of my nose and I also wasn’t happy with the tip of my nose which was quite large and round. I had been contemplating rhinoplasty for a number of years and after much research, I had my first consultation with Dr Badia via video call and one point that I really appreciated is that she advised on considerations to take given that I had some acne and redness which signalled inflammation which could impact the swelling and recovery of the nose post surgery. I felt like she really took a holistic approach to the consultation unlike other surgeons I had seen for a consult. Following the subsequent in-person consultation Dr Badia advised an open approach because of the extent of the break and the tethered scarring I had on my nose from the previous accident. From the start I felt confident that Dr Badia understood what I was looking to achieve and I found her manner very warm and reassuring too.

Whilst the first date I booked in for the surgery was some months away Barbara and Marta in her office team are always working magic with her diary and so called a number of times to offer earlier options, one of which worked for me so I was able to bring the date forward by six months.

I had my surgery at the London Clinic Hospital and the operation took around three hours. When I came round I was amazed at how ok I felt and I was discharged late afternoon.

I had a week of annual leave booked for the recovery and my recovery ended up being very easy - I had the slightest of yellowing around my eyes but that was the extent of any bruising. Dr Badia’s nurse Giulia called me during the week to check how I was and when it came to having the cast off six days later, I was super excited to see my new nose. I only wish I had been brave enough to have the surgery years ago - the ridge is completely straight and the tip is so much neater yet it still looks like my nose. I was a bit concerned what scarring I would have given it was an open approach but it was a very neat line and now four month later even if you looked directly up at my nose I doubt you would notice anything.

I would recommend Dr Badia wholeheartedly - firstly because of the outcome which is exactly what I wanted and secondly because of how easy my recovery was with such minimal bruising and swelling. Dr Badia is so caring and I felt like she really took the time to know me as a patient.
