Warning: He Has a Knack for Shortening Noses

I picked Motykie for a breast implant revision, and that is what I should have stuck with. My vanity got the best of me and I ended up also getting a Rhinoplasty/Septoplasty with him. This was hands down one of the WORST decision I ever made in my life.
I decided to write this review on here due to the large amount of people who reach out to me almost WEEKLY on Yelp to express how Motykie also shortened their nose too much. It is truly unfortunate that the statute of limitations in California is 1 year after the date of surgery to file a claim -not that it would matter anyway since you sign your rights over before surgery anyway, ensuring he will not be responsible for his mistake -and I assure you, he makes many.
I have included photos of before and after surgery. I even visited him roughly 5 months after surgery to show him how up turned my nose was, and he assured me it would drop and he injected it with a steroid shot, which I found out later was completely useless, however a great way to make it 'seem' like he was doing something about it.
My nose never dropped, but one side did begin to collapse. I had no choice but to have a revision rhinoplasty which was very costly. As it turns out Dr. Motykie had removed too much of my septum AND there was so much scar tissue that my nose could not be brought back down to it's original length. That also makes a lot of sense and explains why after my first surgery with Motykie that my whole face was bruised and I coughed and dripped and spit blood for a week, in addition to the horrible pain I was in due to the rhinoplasty. With my revision rhinoplasty I was not bruised, was barely swollen, and there was so pain or blood. This testifies to how rough Motykie is during surgery and why the scar tissue that I had was so severe.
There are so many wonderful rhinoplasty surgeons that will value you as a patient and really do their best to ensure you have a wonderful outcome. Don't let yourself be fooled by the media hype as I was.
There is not a day that goes by that I regret my decision to have ever touched my nose in the first place. It is really hard looking in the mirror realizing that you paid to have your face ruined when it was fine as it was.

This happened to me too! I now have piggy nose. He kept telling me it would drop but never did. I can't stand photos of myself. I can't afford a revision right now.

Hello, the same thing happened to me. I had a Spanish nose, and wanted a preservation rhinoseptoplasty - I wanted my frontal view and length to stay the same. I asked for my dorsal hump to be removed, nose to be a tad smaller, along with straightening it; Unfortunately, I was left with an Asian nose: short, bubbly at tip, (still) crooked, and nostrils are asymmetrical . I now need a rhinoseptoplasty revision to fix the aforementioned. Please do yourself a favor and don't let this doctor touch your face.

UPDATE -1.5 years after revision
I had a revision Rhinoplasty with Dr. Achih Chen at The Georgia Center for Facial Plastic Surgery in Evans, Georgia in April 2019. HE FIXED MY NOSE!!!! I feel beautiful again!!! Check the pics...
Yes he is expensive.
No you won't find a lot of before and after pics online because he takes patient privacy VERY seriously but he gurantees his work and stands behind it 100%!!! You will be satisfied. Chen actually trained in Beverly Hills so has a lot of patients that Fly to him from Cali.

Dr. Motykie, i have personally spoken with numerous patients of yours who are unhappy and know how you promised to refund money but then blacklist them and block their number. If you want to do anything, refund the $14k i paid you to ruin my nose. If you were a man of integrity you would. But i know how you play the statute of limitations in CA to your favor. Such a shame.
It was hard enough trying to get my records for the new doctor, which u never sent btw... cut me a check and I'll respect you and have a different opinion of you and your practice. But i know you won't and that you don't really care. BTW I could really use that $. Would use it to send my son to college and ut would be a tax deduction for you.... buuuuuut....

Wow, you look amazing after the revision!
I actually remember stumbling upon your review a long time ago, and based on the pictures then I couldn't quite see just how much your first doctor pulled your tip up and exposed the nostrils. These new pictures make it crystal clear why you were so upset by your results. I have to say that despite the overly short nose, you still had a beautiful face even then. But now that your nose is in harmony with everything else - it's just incredible, full stop. Thank you for posting the new pictures (and the photos after the primary, I know it mustn't have been easy). And I'm sorry you had to go through this whole experience.

Ugh that sucks, so you basically ended up paying double just to get your original nose back. I don't need a revision but do want a rhinoplasty. How much does Achich Chen charge? I guess it is a lot more for revision than for primary.
