Approaching 4 Weeks
WORTH IT
I am approaching 4 weeks post op. Happy with my large dorsal hump being removed & with the overall shape. I still have some deviation to the left. but I understand it is very difficult to get a straight nose if the deviation was originally substantial.

Happy to share if you PM me. Point to note is that you will never get a deviated septum completely straight - its impossible. Mine is improved but still slightly deviated.
Good result Tish, looked like your your nostrils needed brining in (alar base reduction) was that something you discussed or considered?
Yes, I had massive nostrils, they are now considerably smaller
Looks good! May I ask how much you paid?

Post Op
One week Post Op - including front view, taken 48 hours after splint removal so still quite swollen. Splint was removed on 18th December along with stitches. I’m now at 3 weeks post op. I understand it will take up to 6 months to determine the final shape so my nose is no doubt constantly changing. Work colleagues haven’t really noticed any changes or they can’t quite put their finger on what has changed!! Family said my nose looks great, I’m really happy I no longer have a “big” nose! I still feel quite stuffy & looking forward to be able to freely breathe through my nose.

VERY Happy
After an in-depth review of surgeons with a number of consultations across the country I selected Waseem Saeed to carry out my open Rhino-Septoplasty. It was a complex procedure because I had a Septoplasty 20 years ago but still suffered from a deviated septum, large dorsal hump and large nostrils which required reduction. Mr Saeed provided in-depth consultations & was very realistic of the results e.g my deviations would improve but it was unlikely I would end up with a perfectly straight nose. I knew it would be a long tough procedure which required nostril reduction, two deviations, a large dorsal hump and a forehead scar to improve. After a 4 hour surgery time, a great hospital & good communication overall I am happy with the result.
