Terrible experience with Bahadir Baykal

Hi all! I just wanted to say avoid Dr. Bahadir Baykal. He photoshopped my before AND after and the entire post-procedure was about him getting the correct lighting to take a photo. He photoshops the before photos as worst and after photos as more lifted.He didn't care about anything else. Unlike most experienced doctors, he is very invasive with his techniques and now I need a rib graft for my revision surgery! It has been almost a year and I'm very upset and cry weekly! He was so invasive with the surgery that my revision has become extremely difficult, as said by 5 different revision experts! All I wanted was a natural nose and my nose now looks worse than before!

How much were you quoted, Dr. Baykal is known to over-inflate prices (more than other doctors) for international patients.

He told me 4000 to 4200 euros since it’s a revision and more work will be needed to be done, I’m honestly so nervous now. I tried to reach out to a different doctor dr umit taskin and he told me 6500 euros. Which I feel he is overcharging me.

I paid €3000 for my nose with Dr. Baykal. I later learned Turkish people pay similar to 4000 liras which is much much less.

I can’t say all of them are fake but only sticks with same patients long term results on his instagram. If I were I’d go to it every day and see it for yourself. Plus he rarely shares front view of his work.
The biggest fairness is he doesn’t tell you exactly what he will do inside your as well. He ruined my healthy tissues. Read reviews about him on Google as well. Many girls now Empty Nose Syndrome which is irreversible because of him. He did it to me too!!! I assure you I’m 100% legit. My life was a nightmare because of him until I got a contructive surgery elsewhere. There’s no after care with him. He just washes his hands off after he gets his money.

So international patients usually pay at least €1500 more than Turkish citizens, just because we don't know better. Turkish consultants help you with the hospital visit because with Dr. Baykal, I was promised English speaking staff to help me at the hospital and his assistant wasn't there. You can find them through social media, I wish I got one. I saw a bunch of people on reddit had consultants. I signed a bunch of documents in Turkish and had no idea what nurses with super broken English were saying. I felt so nervous and I truly hope no one considers him and his bs promises. It's all based on availability but they don't tell you that

Thank allot for The information. I al from Belgium. I have had 2 rhinoplasty operations by The same dokter here in Belgium. I am not happy with my nose to say the least. I am considering my revision rhinoplasty in turkey, and dr bahadir was one of my options. And now i came across this. It is SO HARD choosing a surgeon.

keep in mind that I told Dr. Baykal that I wanted a natural nose and he carved so much into my nose that some doctors refused do a revision on me. Every revision must be carefully considered as there is more scar tissue. Dr. Baykal does many rhinoplasties yet posts only 10% in which some are just okay noses. The instagram rhinoplasty community is so misleading...

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience. I actually have the same situation as you. I had my primary rhinoplasty done by Dr. Baykal on 25th March. He left me with a crooked and deformed nose which most probably is open roof deformity. He said I have very thin skin on my dorsum which might rip during revision. I'm so depressed and hate my nose everytime I look at myself in the mirror. I have to wait for 1 year and look for someone to take my case on. It's very early stages so no other surgeon gets back to me for a plan yet. I'll have to live with this nose at least another 10 months...

You just posted on my comment that you are going to get surgery soon, honestly I think it’s time for mods to check in on if this account is related to Baykal since it is extremely defensive and contradicts itself. As I mentioned my surgery was in late 2019, when prices were different.

I heard Mexican and Iranian doctors are also super good. Tiktok app has hyped up Turkish nose surgeons so it seems like they are doing anything to grow their accounts and charge the maximum
