I cannot say enough about Dr. Santiago and the life-changing care he provided me. After 18 years of struggling with severe breathing issues, stemming from a truly horrific first surgical experience, I was completely traumatized and terrified to ever go through something like that again. I had fully resigned myself to living this way, until I met Dr. Santiago. He is truly a gift.
From the very first interaction, Dr. Santiago put me completely at ease. His bedside manner is unmatched and effortless, calming, and genuinely compassionate. He has an incredible ability to make you feel heard, understood, and safe. He takes the time to listen, thoughtfully explains every option, and discusses a plan that is clearly rooted in what is truly best for you with absolutely zero pressure. You never feel rushed, sold to, or dismissed. It is abundantly clear that he is always acting in his patient’s best interest.
From start to finish, the entire experience was smooth, comfortable, and reassuring. Not once did I feel fear, hesitation, or doubt. In fact, I walked into the operating room with a level of calm and confidence I never thought possible, completely at ease and trusting my decision wholeheartedly. That alone speaks volumes.
The level of care does not stop with Dr. Santiago. It extends to his entire team, whose service is nothing short of exceptional. The anesthesiologist personally called me the night before surgery to introduce himself and ask if I had any questions. That level of genuine care is incredibly rare. They even created a group text including multiple members of the team so that everyone was accessible for pre- and post-op questions or concerns. I have never experienced this kind of white-glove, all-hands-on-deck support anywhere.
