Unfortunate

It’s been a year and 10 months since getting my surgery and I’ve decided not to go back to Dr.Motykie to get my nose fixed. I’m extremely disappointed my breathing and septum are worse than when I went in and a paid for a Septoplasty. I cannot get air through my right nostril at all. It’s 98% closed off now.
I’m disappointed that when I emailed the office 3 months post op about it I was shrugged off by Shegall and told its normal when it wasn’t and it could have been helped at that point.
I will say I’m not upset at my nose shape-it does look better than before, but definitely no where near the morphed photo.
I wish my cannula didn’t drop as much as it did, but that also makes me happy I didn’t do the lip lift.
New photos posted of me this morning. *Please note I’ve had filler done in my chin that was not present in previous photos
Final recap:
Do I think Dr.Motikye is a butcher? No
Do I think his Instagram “after” photos are photoshopped? Absolutely 100%.

Hey Suzie! I'm sorry to hear this! I agree the doctor definitely did not deliver as promised. I had my rhinoplasty done in late July of this year and I was worried before the surgery, but thankfully my nose is coming along very well. My doctor definitely reduced my nose size and from what I can see you are looking for the same. I would try looking at other patient's posts on here with photos.
Hi Susie. You looked so beautiful before the surgery. I
It was definitely the right decision not having the lip lift with the rhinoplasty. A london based surgeon did mine together and it was a disaster. I’ve had revision surgery on both.
Useful comment. Thank you.

One week post op, splint removed

Got the splint taken off today and everything is so far so good! Swollen but the shape looks great.
My right nostril is completely swollen shut, but this was my deviated side that I couldn’t really breath out of my whole life. Dr. Motykie said there was definitely some work done to that side and it will open up when the swelling comes down. Should expect 6 months until the swelling is completely down. My jaw is still very sore and doesn’t open all the way.
Here is a list of the necessary items that got my through this week!!
1. Straws
2. Blended, nutritious food (I couldn’t actually chew for the first 3-4 days, so I did protein shakes, and blended up soups from Kreation)
3. Liquid lip balm (I liked Mario Badescu Rose balm, just nothing wax/stick based! You won’t be able to smooth it out)
4. Arnica pills (made a HUGE difference in bruise reduction)
5. Cold compress and warm compress
6. Q-tips, CC cups, sea salt for saline nose cleaning after the first 3 days

I will!
What was done during buccal fat removal and how many mm was taken out during liplift?
Happy recovery.
Hello,
I did not end up getting the lip lift, and with the buccal fat removal are you asking about the process of it or where the Buccal fat they remove is?

Thank you! It’s been a great recovery so far
Can’t wait to see further updates!
Hi suzie , how is the healing ? are you noticing that your nose is resembling his morphed photo he gave you after the first visit? And how are you liking the buccal fat removal?

Day 1 post op + pre op pics

My surgery was yesterday, I’m feeling ok today. I haven’t used my pain meds yet, just Tylenol. So pain wise it’s actually not too bad, just a lot of pressure around my nose and chin.
Dr.Motykie and staff were fantastic, great bedside manner. My anesthesiologist and nurses were quick, witty, they definitely do this everyday but have fun with it. Made me feel taken care of.
I had my pre-op consultation just before my surgery, timing wise with my schedule it worked out better.
Dr.Morykie again asked about the facial fat grafting and why I didn’t want to do it. Obviously it’s one of his favorites to do, but I stick to my original plan and didn’t have it done.

You are very lucky that you didn't have fat transfer. He does a horrible job. Hope everything else works out for you . Please keep us posted
May I ask what the price was
Septo+turbine (breathing issues from deviated septum) $2k
Rhino $11k
Buccal $3.5k
Neck lipo $2.5k
Do you know how much more the lip lift and the facial fat grafting would have been if you had chosen to have them done?
Thank you for the reply. May I ask where you are located, I am going for a rhinoplasty consult in May and sure hope it's not 11k, yikes. Would love to see your results!!
Money spent is so individually relative.
I’d rather be able to breath, and be able to adjust the things diet & exercise cannot.

Dr. Motykie is located in Los Angeles, as am I
Lip lift: $3.5k
Fat grafting: $2.5
I can't wait to see what your results look like!!
