Picture updates!

I love my profile , the scarring inside my nose is getting better and better. The only thing that concerns me is that I am weightlifting pretty heavy and I think that may be affecting my healing . What I mean by that is that my tip does not look as refined as I hoped from the front BUT I should be patient and know that is still because of swelling (weight lifting doesn’t help either). It has only been 4 months!!! By one year I am very hopeful I will have the results I want . Profile looks great still but could be better on certain days.

9 weeks post op update ! (Late update, forgot to post!)

Hi guys!
If you are still following my updates I have some great news! I started taking Arnica and Bromelain from VitaMedica brand and sure enough , my persistent swelling started to go down! I tried another odd brand from Amazon and it did absolutely nothing for me. For about 2-3 weeks I stopped seeing improvements and pretty much platoad. Now a soon as I started taking theses again, my swelling went down the next day and STAYED DOWN. Most of the pictures I’ve shared so far have been taken on really good days only so now it looks a little bit better than that , except everyday. ALSO, I started weightlifting again! I never thought I would go back so earl especially since I was so worried about swelling and scar tissue build up. The only reason I did was because I got my pills in the mail so I knew they would help! I have had no issues at the gym, no swelling, no pain. I did lose strength so I am not lifting as heavy as I used to but that is to be expected. I’m still taking it to easy, but it went better than I thought! I just wished I would have bought my pills sooner, I didn’t really want to splurge on them since they were $38 for the Bromelain and I believe $18 for the Arnica. Then I realized that’s pretty silly considering how my money I spent on my surgery...lol...plus I really wanted to go back to the gym again.
OTHER than that, the only other complaint I have is that I have these lumps inside my nostrils. I believe this is scarring that is trying to heal. I am not too concerned yet since I have come across other people post op stories that they developed these but they resolved on it own with time. What I want to know is HOW LONG did it take to go away. I will let you know when I find out! Right now it’s a little bit of a nusisance but as the time goes by I will start getting worried so I hope it goes away soon. Especially because they feel like hard stuck on boogers (tmi sorry) and I almost feel like I could breathe even more clearly before they appeared. I hope it’s not because I’ve been to rough with the q tips when cleaning my nose. I can still low my nose but sometimes that’s not enough since I can’t exactly pinch or pick my nose yet...lol....I leave you with these pictures...have a great day!

Reassurance ??

Wow , everyone’s comments have really made my day. It’s so nice to get reassurance every once in a while from someone other than yourself.
One trend that I noticed among this type of surgery is that even tough our results are great, we tend to over analyze our noses every single day!
I did this and then when I looked at all my before pictures (especially the really bad ones) I realized I am so happy with my results!
All my fears and concerns at the beginning of my recovery have mostly all resolved on its own and it’s only been 3 weeks!
Also, to clarify my last post, I didn’t mean my entire nose was crooked. In fact my nose was so straight even Dr. G was pleasantly surprised. This is because I have some facial assymetries that we talked about and he even warned me ahead of time that it would never be fully straight.
What I really meant was my collumela was deviated. It always has been, however, I think it is either still the same as before or possibly better. He’s to tell since my swelling was so uneven. It was actually worse before and I noticed it got a little better.
I will definitely post a before picture, a 1 week post op , and a 2 or 3 month post of of my collumela by side to see it for myself.
Other than I’m so happy with the shape of my nose that I wouldn’t be too worried even if it stayed the way it is now.
Also, my swelling has been on the worse side this past couple of days even though I’ve been taping and sleeping inclined. This leads me to believe that the Arnica and Bromelain really did work because I ran out last week. I’ll have to buy some ASAP!
Hope this helps someone out there that worries too much like me. I seriously got really sad and somewhat depressed with how my nose looked post op (initially) that I though I made a huge mistake! Seriously , just give it time! I’m feeling much more confident and am very happy with my results so far. Cannot wait to see the the swelling to down considerably in the next 3-6 months. However, I need to keep reminding myself it will get better. On the good days like in this picture is easy but on the bad days I trick myself i to thinking it looks the same as before from the front (fat and swollen) but this will get better from all that I’ve seen and read. Hope this helps someone out there !
