Amazing Experience
I am officially 6 months post-op! What more can I say - seamless surgery from beginning until end.
Dr. Lee lives and breathes rhinoplasties, especially Asian rhinoplasties. Whatever you think you know/researched, he knows it better and will explain to you why it can or can’t work for your specific case, and then proceeds to tell you how he’s going to get you closest to that desired result. AMAZING.
Many people generally go in wanting a higher bridge and a skinnier base. I am a perfectionist and a very specific person, so I was very specific about what I wanted:
Somewhat high bridge (as in higher than what asians typically ask for but that still looks natural/balances the rest of my face), reduce nostril size but don't want my nostrils to be upturned aka “pig-like” (which is what I’ve noticed a lot of surgeons do), make nose symmetrical (mine was wider on one size), minimal scarring (a given, but not every surgeon delivers), a small/dainty/round tip for that “button nose” look (aka wolfiecindy lol), and the tip slightly lengthened to elongate my face.
During our 2nd consultation, I also showed Dr. Lee 3-4 pictures I liked of his own work, and 2-3 separate pictures I found on instagram which he “studied” for ~20 minutes and then he operated.
It goes without saying that I was very nervous about getting it done, but i was extremely confident in Dr. Lee’s skill/expertise (trust the process/ your surgeon!). I immediately knew when I first met Dr. Lee that he was very sharp and knowledgeable and that I could trust him to operate on my face. But when we took off the cast a week later and I was able to actually see my nose for the first time, it was more amazing than I could have ever dreamed of or imagine. He really outdid his own self and brought all of my random bits and pieces of requests to life!
Clean office, safe practices/ policies in place, pharmacy located in same complex, extremely efficient (Dr. Lee wastes no time), helpful staff, timely to all appointments (this was a big one for me), has a keen eye for what looks good, and listens to what you want. But even all that doesn’t even compare to his sheer skill/expertise in rhinoplasties.
PS. you will never be confused because Angela arranges and figures out everything for you, I literally just showed up lol. I loved how she genuinely takes all of your concerns/questions to heart and relays them to Dr. Lee who will then address them during your next consult.
It can be really intimidating bringing things up to surgeons sometimes and she really bridges that surgeon-patient gap and makes sure nothing gets missed. She is so, so helpful and sweet! Between her and Dr. Lee, you are in GREAT hands.
