Hi,
My name is John P. My nose history is complicated, and after an accident left me with a collapsed valve on the left nasal passage, I couldn't breathe, sleep, or concentrate. Bloody discharge. Crusting. Infections. An inability to speak clearly because of the congestion and pinching sensation.
But it was the pain – the excruciating discomfort – an unescapable pinching and pressure that made life so difficult. I couldn't live with this. Live was not sustainable under these conditions.
Initially, I went through my HMO Kaiser, where their team of plastic surgeons trivialized my condition. When pressed further, these doctors ultimately confessed they said I didn't need surgery because they didn't have confidence in their ability to perform the surgery and were afraid of looking bad...or being sued.
Fortunately, Dr. Chow did have such skill, experience, confidence, and talent. He performed the surgery in June. It transformed my life. The surgery was complex. He took bone from my skull and embedded it carefully on the bridge to open my nasal passage.
He also took a video of the surgery to prove the necessity of the surgery. Talk about going above the call of duty.
For the first time in 30 years, I can breathe freely. I can now enjoy life.
Dr. Chow has since performed surgeries on several of my students — mostly cosmetic — and they rave about the results. I saw doctors across the country to solve my condition. No one else could. I breathe great, I feel great, I sleep better. There is not a wiser, more skilled surgeon than Dr. Chow.
