Ruined Breathing, Looks, Confidence

3 months post op.

You know those post op photos when they take the cat off? Yeah, it was smaller then, but after kenalog injections, this is the real after. When you look at post op photos ask for the 6months to 2 year range.

Ruined Breathing, Looks, Confidence

Horrible. Sure, the photos promising a great new nose were amazing, but the after surgery reality has created major breathing issues when NONE existed, a serious bridge deformity and the tip to retract upwards. Yes, like a pig.
The day of surgery, was scheduled at 9 am. Keep in mind, no food or drinks because you can aspirate and die. Nearly 2 hours later, still wait for SURGERY, his grumpy AF anesthesiologist tells me to have a snack & a drink. It will be another hour. This is 100% against ALL medical advice.
The meds taken to relax have worn off, the anxiety, anger and fear set in. Should have run at that moment.
Waiting room filled with people and the staff keep moving everyone from the main waiting room to chairs in the hallway for the med spa. Various office staff nervously check in. Anger is brewing. This is not professional- surgery is emotionally draining and waiting HOURS, is insane.
Waking up after surgery, Dr Motykie isn’t even there. Long gone. The nurse seems frightened and says something about the left side being worse, the healing will be slow. She knew something. That left side is 96% touching now- 4% open for oxygen.
The follow up was done by unprofessional staff & he came in once. Not even at cast removal. Can you imagine a plastic surgeon NOT being there to remove your cast?!? But a nurse?! He was only there after being highly vocal in the lobby when major issues at about 2 months. As time went on, mire issues, retraction, deformities and his desire to fix it.
There is only so much a nose (and heart) can take. If a plastic surgeon does not out EXCEL at revisions, do not have them as your primary surgeon. It tells you they LACK surgical skills to fix issues. A rhinoplasty is THE most complicated surgical procedure in plastics. Go to the person that fixes other people’s botched work, because they know what not to do, how to care for the nose & predictably have far better outcomes.
Dr Reisch will be fixing all of this early summer. Had consultations with Dr.Rohrich, Dr. Ben Talei, Dr. Riesch. All 3 said very different things about fixing it, and in the end, it was between Talei & Riesch. Both explained in great detail the process needed to fix this mess & one was more confident of the outcome.

Who did your procedure?
Gary Motykie did the primary. Getting a revision next month, Dr Reish
I'm sorry about your primary experience. I need a revision to fix breathing as well. Did you consider any other revision surgeons besides Dr. Rieiesh in NYC / NJ / PA area?
I'm sure your outcome will be better, but as someone who uses Dr. Rohrich as my surgeon I was NOT satisfied with my consultation because he does not do super detailed consults. But I trusted him and my outcome was beyond perfect. He knows what he's doing
DR. Rorhrich had frightening mock ups. Frightening. I know he's an great surgeon, but he kept talking about lengthening my nose & the 3 mock ups were something that made me look disfigured. Could not schedule with him...
Glad you saw Rohrich & are happy! He’s an expert.
Do you have any pics? I will be having rhinoplasty with dr.Gary motykie and it’s hard with all these negative reviews and no proof to show if he really botched you.
posted a picture of my nose, 3 months post op
I have pictures of his work 5 years later. You’re taking a big risk....
I can Not Share photos. I’m a real person & signed my life away. They did not give me a copy & every time I asked for the docs, they “forgot.” Honestly, I’d go to Ben Talei if you want a great dr & in that area. I just would advise you NOT to use this Dr. my face is a daily cause of severe anxiety over the huge nose & Polly beak deformity. I flew Back in 3 times to get shots of a steroid in my nose & I spent over $19,000 on my nose, $5,000 on hotels, $2,300 on plane tickets. He’s junk in my opinion and his photos are definitely not truthful. I had the strange fortune of meeting a person from a division of the FBI, that was part of a team investigating docs who alter their after pics. Turns out, software can detect this. I mentioned This to their receptionist, who promptly got up and spent 30 minutes in the back. It’s your FACE. A rhinoplasty is THE most complicated facial plastic surgery & trust the experts. He’s not.
I’m sorry you had to go through this. It’s horrible. I wish more people would heed the bad reviews of him which continue to amass on here. I think they get too carried away with the altered or deceptive pics only to find years down the road after lots of time, money, and waiting to see that they were fooled and taken advantage of. It’s really as simple as this: if you don’t like how the shape of your nose looks when the cast is off, you will not like it at all anytime after. Sure there is swelling but you will have a good idea of the overall shape and look. I waited and waited and waited, I hated it, then I learned to live with it, and now 5 years later I despise it because now all these issues really showed up. Of course by now it’s too late to get your money back and he’s fooled plenty more people.
Unfortunately my story is identical to yours. The fat transfer is so bad for me . My face is deformed and hurts. Can you please tell me how the fat is for you?
Did you sign something saying you would get a refund in exchange for not posting a review? Otherwise, you have the right to share your before and after photos as well as your real life honest experiences and opinions.
signed a giant stack of documents- not kidding about an inch worth. I never asked for a refund. H offered to fix it, but NO WAY! He's a hatchet. Look at his recycled photos, over and over again. same faces. I want my old nose back. the anxiety, the trauma and the nightmare experience of his entire office staff. SKTECH AS HELL.
You signed something preventing you from posting any reviews with photos before you had surgery? Or after? I am confused by your reply, because you posted this review with one photo. So sorry you are dealing with an outcome you dislike. Many of us on here understand that feeling, though the doctor who butchered my nose was a different person. It is hard dealing with a nose we hate when it's right in the middle of our faces. Are you wanting your nose lengthened, or just narrowed?
