Very Disappointed

I'd like to give an update on my progress and hopefully get some advice from other patients. After all my swelling has pretty much subsided I see what was done during surgery. My nose looks very sharp and pointy. Overall, an unnatural small pointy nose. Too much was done and I feel very let down and violated to a point. I chose the wrong surgeon for me. This goes out to Dr. cochran's patients who had a primary with him and were unhappy. Did any of you go on to have a successful revision? Did you learn to live with it? Any input would greatly help me because I am so confused and need some guidance from anyone who has been in my shoes. Please help if you can. Thank you

Rhino with Cochran

I feel the need to share with this community some advice from my experience. If a doctor is toooo nice be wary. Dr. Cochran lays it on pretty heavy, but now I understand that's his way to hook you in. I met with another plastic surgeon before him who did not want to operate on my nose. Now I understand it was because he knew he wouldn't be able to give me improvement that would be worth going through a difficult surgery. I was annoyed. I suspect Dr. Cochran will not turn down a patient even if he can't deliver the results. I've read so many reviews about him having to revise his own work. That is a huge red flag!!! A good doctor will tell you the truth if you are not a candidate for surgery and send you on your way. A doctor who will promise you the moon and stars and tell you that you will like your nose right away is lying... they completely downplayed everything. I was never told that I would see my final result in one year to two years only when I called in tears was I told this. When I expressed the things I was unhappy about after a year post op, I was told "well, you fix one thing and get a different issue" wow! If that's not depressing to hear I don't know what is! Probably because if they would've told me all these things I wouldn't have had surgery and there goes $10,000! I feel sad for his patients and the people on here who experienced emotional grief from rhinoplasty. I don't care what board certification a doctor has, if he's not board certified in plastic surgery they should not be performing plastic surgery....period. My heart goes out to all of you who have been affected by any doctors mal practice. I may or may not be a candidate for a revision, but I do know that now my nose that slightly bothered me before REALLY bothers me now.
