Office review: Be Quiet or Be Cancelled

Be Quiet or Be Cancelled
They assured me they would help me and suggest a clinic where I could get the needed exams done. However, there was no follow up. Later the office contacted me stating I did not have a pre-op appointment with them, with I did, but they didn't remember. I again asked for the information of an available clinic. Then the office called me while I was at work and urged me to go to a clinic that night and planned my COVID test for the next day to be done in time for the procedure. I scrambled to the clinic suggested and waited for hours to have pre-op exams and COVID test, as directed and approved by the office. I followed-up to ensure they received my results. The office stated they denied the plan of getting a COVID test and said I have get another COVID test within the time frame outlined in the packet. I agreed to get a COVID-test again, but advocated for myself wishing the office respect my time and money by acting more professional, in regards to their coordination of care. In response to my email, Dr. Zoumalan cancelled my surgery, a week from the surgery date, dismissing my concerns as being psychological in origin, anxiety, despite never talking to me directly to make that assessment. Now I am hundreds of dollars spent out of pocket for the exams he had me do for the surgery, took off two weeks from work (one week to quarantine under his direction and one week for recovery), as well as all the time/ energy I have invested in this endear. So this is my warning to others, don't ask to be treated with respect or bring up valid concerns, otherwise Dr. Zoumalan will cancel your procedure last minute, deeming your concerns as psychological in nature (without taking the time to talk to you). I hope that other female patients of his do not allow his gaslighting to quiet their concerns because open communication is vital for a safe procedure.
