Overdue Review - almost 12 months post op and I am so happy!
WORTH IT
I had wanted a rhinoplasty for as long as I can remember. I also had a bad deviated septum that was a genetic trait passed down from both sides of my family. I spent so so much time researching different plastic surgeons and even heavily considered travelling interstate to get a rhinoplasty. That was until I came across Dr Mark Baldwin. His work is not only very natural looking but his reviews and the people I spoke to who had received a rhinoplasty from him had only exceptional things to say.
I work in healthcare and his bedside manner is professional and he ensures you are given realistic expectations of what he can achieve with your nose. There is no telling you what you want to hear and giving you false hope of your final result. I felt comfortable in the two of consultations I had with him before booking in my surgery date. He was very supportive in understanding that this is a big decision for his clients and offered to book further consultations in the lead up to my surgery.
Post rhinoplasty I was pretty bruised and swollen as expected. In the first week of my recovery I reached out to Mark’s office to ask a couple of questions and get another script for pain medication (I know I have a poor pain threshold but only ended up needing just one extra day of strong pain meds and then just had panadol). The two receptionists, Laura and Aliesha have the sweetest personalities and best customer service. They were more than willing to help with my inquiries by liaising with Mark and always got back to me on the same day. After two weeks I was back to my normal routine and work. Not only does my nose look amazing but my breathing is incredible. I knew my breathing was pretty bad but now with my breathing fixed I truly understand how bad it was. I even had a cold two months post op and I was not heavily congested and did not have high pressure build up in my head like I once use to. I have better sleep too since I no longer have to sleep on my back to promote breathing and can sleep on both my left and right side.
It’s now being almost a year post op and this review is so long overdue. I no longer even think about my nose when I have photos taken it’s honestly a big insecurity lifted off my shoulders. I wear all types of sunglasses as I used to be very insecure about what sunglasses I could wear with my old nose. I just feel like I’ve had this new nose for a long time it’s just part of me now. I have even forgot what my old nose looked like until I see an old photo.
I would recommend Mark Baldwin to anyone who has been thinking about or wanting to get a rhinoplasty! Just do it! He is professional, intelligent and has great attention to detail. I am so glad I made the correct decision to go with him. Thank you Mark Baldwin!!!
