Fantastic Rhinoplasty Experience from Dr. Adams and His Team
I'm a 27 year old woman that got a rhinoplasty in November 2024 with Dr. Adams at Rousso Adams in Birmingham. I am not from Birmingham and had to drive in about 2 hours from a neighboring state, and I loved my experience with this office and couldn't have asked for a better experience. I did a TON of research on the procedure and surgeons and felt well prepared but of course it's still nerve wracking to do anything to your face, but I am really happy with my decision and appreciate how natural my results are.
The day of surgery, I was very nervous but the nurses were so kind and reassuring. Before my surgery, I got to meet the anesthesia doctor and speak with Dr. Adams briefly. The whole team of nurses took great care of me from start to finish. After the procedure was over, I stayed at the Valley Hotel (booked by the Rousso Adams staff & included in the total cost) which was very nice and comfortable, and I appreciate one of the doctors checking in on me that evening.
The worst parts about recovery were breathing through my mouth and getting good enough sleep, but I can say that recovering from my wisdom teeth was worse. I had no bruising, some swelling, and did not take any pain killers other than Tylenol. Getting the splints and cast removed at the 1 week post op did not hurt at all.
The recovery time goes by really fast but I do recommend 2 weeks off if you work in an in-person setting. After two weeks, I feel great and back to my normal self, though still a little swollen above my upper lip.
Though I mostly chose to have rhinoplasty for aesthetic reasons, I am actually breathing much better than before and I feel like my allergies have improved. I love the way my nose looks now, it's incredibly natural and fits my face well. I know that it will keep improving as the months progress, and I'm excited to see my final results in a year or so.
Overall I'm so happy with my decision to go with Dr. Adams and highly recommend him and his staff.
