How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.
If you have questions or believe we should re-evaluate a published review, let us know.

Trademarks Of His Bad Work
Since my initial review, I have spoken to other Ghavami victims, and I’d like to add some of the care & results we had in common:
1. Heavy Handedness: This guy doesn’t know the definition of gentle. If you bruise easily, heal slowly, or have a tendency towards scar tissue, he is not for you. It’s possible his success cases are not prone to this. Even his injectable work is rushed/sloppy, and I would bruise after Botox. It’s like he’s half paying attention, waiting to move on to next the person or item on his schedule, which obviously translated in my surgery results.
2. Sloppy Stitching: His stitching is sloppy. My aesthetician was still pulling on pieces of suture from the side of my nose years after surgery.
3. Collapse Bridge on one side: for some reason a lot of his victims have a collapsed bridge on the right side.
4. Botched face fat transfers: He loves to upsell you with a fat transfer to get that high cheekbones look, which can easily be done with filler. A fat transfer to the face is really hard to get precise with, since the surgeon doesn’t know how much will survive so they tend to overinject. This creates issues with asymmetry, and really requires an expert. It’s also extremely hard to fix, almost impossible to go back to pre-ops. I tried Kenalog steroids once and that left a dent In my cheeks that took almost a year of massaging to bring back the collagen. The only option I’ve seen that’s safe and conservative is Kybella. I’ve done 8 painful sessions and still need more.
Total spend on corrections to date: $4800 on Kybella, $4K on non surgical nose job (Voluma)

Notice that he shaved my bridge too low and there is bump I didn’t have before. Left alar base is thinner and a narrower tip is more apparent than the other side.

I’m still spending money on non-surgical corrections
Going to this “Dr” was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made. Please run away from this office!
Four years ago, I consulted about 10 doctors in the LA area before deciding on Ghavami for a primary rhinoplasty. It was not an easy decision because even back then, he was rude, arrogant, and only took a rushed 10 minutes for the consult. I ultimately decided to go with him because he had the best portfolio for ethnic noses (wide tip, thick skin) and seemed to have an eye for proportions and beauty. I consulted with a previous patient of his as well and he did a good job with hers, although her skin was thin and it was more of a dorsal hump issue, which are typically much easier cases.I had a feeling prior to the surgery that if something went wrong, I would be out of luck, but I trusted he would get it right. Unfortunately, my rhinoplasty result was uneven nostrils, a collapsed bridge on one side, and an unsymmetrical tip. He also convinced me on a fat transfer to lift my cheekbones that could have easily been taken care of with some filler. The far transfer was also a mess - he put too much in, it was also uneven, and I had huge chipmunk cheeks. He never apologized for anything, although he did admit the results were not optimal. We did a closed revision about 7 months later under local anesthesia and although it was a bit better, it was still not what I wanted. He suggested we do it all over again, and that’s when I knew I couldn’t let this guy touch my face again. The only conclusion I can come up with as to why he has some success cases and why others are completely botched is that he DOESN’T CARE unless you are an influencer, celebrity, or you got him when he was starting out and needing cases for his portfolio. I’m still spending money on non-surgical corrections to both. I get filler on my nose to fix as much as I can until I find another surgeon to do my revision, and I’ve gotten 6 rounds of Kybella to reduce the cheeks, and it’s still not enough!
