WORTH IT
I came to see Lydia Badia feeling dejected and gaslighted with breathing problems and host of cosmetic issues with my nose which were not being taken seriously. I had sent pictures but it wasn’t until we had our in person consultation that Lydia was able to see the true extent of my issues.She was taken aback and informed me that my nose would be an extremely difficult case.
Although my surgery would be a primary septorhinoplasty the procedure itself would be more like a revision in its complexity. It would be an open approach, I would probably require a graft and she would ask Charles East to assist. I knew from that meeting that I had found my surgeon.
Lydia has an extremely kind and caring manner and has true empathy for her patients. She gave me hope but also kept my expectations realistic. I knew a complicated case like mine was never going to result in perfection but I would be thrilled with any improvement. Well in my opinion the pictures show an incredible transformation and believe me it’s even better in person! That fact that nobody has detected surgery is a testament to Lydia’s incredible skills. My nose looks natural and now fits my features.
My operation was over 4 hours and I did need a graft to help with the extreme concave areas. My septum was also extremely twisted. Although initial recovery wasn’t that bad,the journey has had its ups and downs.The surgery really wasn’t painful at all.I only required paracetamol and ibuprofen. I hardly had any bruising and it was gone after a week. My swelling also wasn’t that extreme and the 1st year healing has been a lot less of stressful than expected. Lydia was adamant that I gave myself credit for how I have handled the experience.I would say for anyone considering this surgery to be kind to yourself and try not to obsess too much with endless photos.
I also want to add that all the staff at Rhinoplasty London have been amazing. Giulia was always on hand when I freaked out and was so lovely when I had my cast off. Marta, Barbara and Rosa were also so prompt when replying to any queries.Thank you so much to Lydia.The operation and result have truly been life changing.
