A Kind and Brilliant Surgeon

I’m so thankful that I found Lydia to perform my septorhinoplasty. I’d been thinking about getting it done ever since my early teens but never quite got the courage to go for it until this last year.

I found the team after narrowing my search to ENT specialists, rather than a general plastic surgeon because for me it was important to go for someone who specialised in rhinoplasty. Their reviews were consistently brilliant.

From the get go her team have been so kind and supportive. They were especially patient and understanding when it came to trying to organise enough time off work to go ahead with the procedure and recovery. Communication was faultless the whole way through, especially Barbara and Giulia.

It’s a nerve wracking thing to put your faith in someone, to help you achieve a desired aesthetic. Especially with a feature that’s central on your face. Pretty hard to ignore if it goes wrong! I wanted to minimise risks as much as possible when it came to breathing, structural or nerve complications. 

The anxiety I had around the appearance of my nose was borderline crippling throughout my adult life and I truly felt it didn’t suit my face. Lydia listened carefully and took such a gentle, personable approach. I felt she really cared. 

Some other clinics I looked into before I found Lydia and Charles’ clinic, seemed like a bit of a conveyer belt of procedures. Rhinoplasty London had such a wonderful family feel. You can tell how much they care about their patients and get along as a team. They’ve achieved a lovely dynamic. 

I’m one week post op and honestly the recovery has been fine apart from some initial swelling, which is to be expected after a major procedure. No pain, barely noticeable bruising and the outcome is more perfect than I’d hoped. Her skills are second to none. 

It’s a big decision to take and I’d strongly advise anyone thinking about it to really consider the financial cost and their reasons for wanting it. If you do decide after all of that, that it’s worth it (which I absolutely did) then I highly recommend Lydia! I think you’ll struggle to find a more expert, kind, considerate and supportive surgeon.
