5 Months Post Op Update!
WORTH IT$8,354
Hello!
I am now 5 months post op and I have had my final follow up session with my surgeon. I just wanted to upload some updated after photos and post a full review about my rhinoplasty experience.
Results:
Overall I am so happy with my results! My bump has completely gone (my main issue) and I no longer feel completely self conscious about my nose anymore.
I still have swelling in my tip which I was reassured by my surgeon is completely normal as swelling can take up to 12 months to fully resolve. It may not necessarily be swelling, it may just be that the skin surrounding the tip of my nose has not yet 'shrunk' around its new structure (this can take up to 12 months also).
My 'bump' on the side of my nose I explained in my last update was actually a callus that had formed where the bones were broken in my nose, this is again normal. The callus has actually reduced in size so it is now not visible and no longer bothers me - which is great!
My scar from my open surgery is not noticeable at all, I have a slight mark but you would never notice it unless I pointed it out.
My nose does change every now and then, some days it will look more swelled others it will look smaller, it is a long process and you cannot expect to see your final result till you are 12 months post op. Even though it is a long process and I still have a reasonable amount of swelling still present I am so glad I made the decision to go through with my operation.
The swelling from the front view looks a lot worse on photos than it actually is! I’m not sure why!
Surgeon Review:
Surgeon - Mr Anil Banerjee
I could not recommend my surgeon enough and I am so glad that I chose Mr Banerjee for my Rhinoplasty operation. I was nervous for my first consultation but I was put completely at ease by Mr Banerjee, he is friendly and professional and answered all my questions (I had a lot!). From my first consultation he gave me realistic expectations of what my nose could look like, ensuring that the nose would look as natural as possible. I was also given suggestions on how he could further improve the appearance of my new nose. I completely trusted that my surgeon would achieve the results that I wished for, which I feel is very important when choosing your surgeon.
On the day of my surgery Mr Banerjee came over to go through the procedure once again, he came to see me after my operation to make sure everything was OK and even went to see my Mom (who had been nervously waiting) to reassure her that the operation was a success - which I thought was really nice!
Any queries I have had during my follow up consultations were answered efficiently.
My results are exactly what I hoped for. My nose looks completely natural and no one would ever know I have had a rhinoplasty procedure!
A huge thank you to Mr Banerjee, I couldn’t have wished for a better surgeon!

5 Week Post Op Update!
I am currently nearly 5 weeks post op and I just wanted to post an update...
My swelling has come down, but I haven’t really seen much of a change in the last 2 weeks. I did have a cold during this time so that may be why?
I currently have two issues - one is that I have a ‘lump’ at the side of my nose facing my eye, before surgery I didn’t have this lump, it has been getting smaller and smaller as the weeks pass so I’m not going to worry about this just yet. My other issue is my tip, it sticks out quite a lot, I was told by my surgeon that this will happen as the tip is the last place the swelling reduces from. I have my follow up appointment with my surgeon next week so will discuss these issues with him. Other than that I’m really happy with it, my bump is gone and it looks a lot better than before!
My front view still looks like a sausage to me in pictures haha, it does look a lot worse in pictures than it does in the mirror though and I can tell the swelling is definitely going down, it doesn’t look noticeable at all in real life - I just need to be patient and let the rest of the swelling subside!

Cast Off!
I have attached pictures from the day I had my cast off, as you can see I was and still am very swollen!! I am currently 10 days post op and my nose is still very swollen. Hopefully it goes down by the day and I just have to be patient now! I'm still experiencing dizziness, I'm not sure why? Hoping it goes away as the swelling does. My bridge is exactly how I wanted it to be, excited to see the swelling go down and see the final results!
