Excited to see nose once swelling has gone & it's fully healed!

Pre op was simple and Dr Hamadeh discussed my options and his concerns before I had a second consultation- e.g. ability for exact nostril symmetry due to unequal size before surgery anyway. Dr Hamadeh was confident he could achieve the nose I wanted, and I soon after booked in and paid a deposit. Within a reasonable timeframe this deposit is also refundable, which is a huge bonus as it is a life changing decision and not a cheap price.

I took into account all the pros and cons and decided to go to Dr Hamadeh after extensively researching on real self, instagram, Google etc.
His secretary was also helpful and reassured me of his revision policy should I require one.

On the day of surgery his Nurse Kelly was with me before I went to theatre which massively calmed my nerves. As a nurse myself I was not concerned about the surgery, but being put under anaesthesia is a daunting experience for anybody so having her there supporting me really made me feel at ease. Although I wasn’t too happy with the anaesthetic induction (I was not spoken to once before being cannulated or put to sleep and felt like this was the least ‘caring’ aspect of my experience), post operatively I did not feel sick and was administered anti-sickness medication and was in no pain when I woke up. Kelly was also there once I woke up so I not once felt uncomfortable and was lovely having a familiar face there as no family are allowed into the ward with you (COVID rules) Once I was more lucid, I was given further oral pain relief so I really was looked after to ensure my comfort. They also found me some Vaseline as my lips must’ve been so dry - I remember this from when I was still in and out of sleep, but again made me feel really looked after.

I was given effective pain relief, antibiotics, steroids and dressing bits for under my nose for the few days after.

Post op Kelly also phoned me regularly which was great as I felt like my experience was being accurately documented and followed up.

Since having my cast off my nose looks HUGE and my nostrils even bigger and more prominent than before surgery HOWEVER I know that this is part of the recovery and I’m 3 months time I will do another review based on how my nose is doing then.

Overall my experience has been good and feel that I would recommend Dr Hamadeh as a surgeon. My side profile is insane and he has achieved the look I wanted already so I am excited to see what this will look like once the swelling has gone completely and my nose has fully healed
