I Hate My Nose Job Results
$7,500
Simply put, I hate the results of my nose job (rhinoplasty). Dr. Hilinsky seems like an intelligent, experienced professional, and the Harvard credentials help to sell his ability, but when it came to delivering results, he just couldn't do it. $7,500 and 9 months of having a fat swollen nose just to have less confidence than I had before. I regret to say it was the worst decision I have ever made in my life. I tried waiting and giving him the benefit of the doubt, but at this point (2 years later) it is clear my nose is done healing and no changes are going to happen. It's time to stop being polite and tell the truth about how I feel. That's what this website is for right? The truth.
A refund would be appreciated but I guess this is one of those industries that doesn't believe in accountability. To be honest, I feel like if they paid me $50K for my investment plus suffering, I would still be in the red. What makes it so frustrating is that my case was a very simple, small change and my nose looks the same as before from the side and a little bit fatter in the front. Not only was it not improved, it was made worse. It truly boggles my mind how this operation went wrong.
Choose a doctor who is a perfectionist with plenty of experience. Credentials do not matter. I believe the cause of failure in my case was simply a lack of perfectionism and attention to detail. He has a lot of great results on his website, unfortunately, I don't get to be one of them. Of course he will never advertise the bad results and only he will ever know the real success rate that he has. In the end, he is just a businessman obsessed with increasing his wealth like almost every other man on the planet. I just can't understand why such wealthy "professionals" would not want to provide refunds for work that they failed to complete as promised. This is one very backwards industry. I know that when I fail to deliver for my clients, I either redo the work until they are satisfied or provide a full refund and I don't get paid a fraction of what this guy gets paid for an hour of his time.
Side note: my nose was noticeably fat and swollen for 6-9 months after surgery and wasn't completely healed until over a year. Most doctors, including Dr Hilinsky, will tell you that your nose will be swollen for 2 weeks and you can go back to work and nobody will notice. That could not be farther from the truth. I could have been unlucky having to wait 6-9 months, but my research shows that my case is the rule and not the exception.

When it comes to patient satisfaction, Dr. Hilinski and his staff are proud of their many success stories. However, mutual communication from patients both before and after a procedure is vital to achieving desired results. There’s only so much that can be done if a patient does not reach out. Whenever a patient is not yet satisfied, we are committed to helping them reach their goals. If a revision is appropriate, we tend to waive most surgeon fees for revisions. Anesthesia and facility costs would still apply, but this policy is extremely competitive and fair among the industry. We'd be happy to consult more directly with any patient who has concerns about their results and can be contacted at our office.
what kind of a nose job is this???
