Great Experience with Dr. Evcimik

I traveled from Canada to Turkey for my septorhinoplasty with Dr. Evcimik after doing a lot of research and consulting with various different surgeons (both locally and in Turkey). Ultimately, I chose him because of the quality of his work and because a friend of a friend had undergone rhinoplasty with him and had a great experience. I also wanted a natural, feminine nose that suited my face, which is what I found in his work with previous patients.

I am now 2 weeks post-op, and although I went into this process fully expecting not to love my nose immediately due to swelling, the adjustment of seeing a new nose on my face, and everything else people commonly talk about after rhinoplasty, I can honestly say I am already so happy with my results.

I also approached surgery with realistic expectations. I understood that creating a beautiful nose has to be balanced with maintaining the structural integrity and function of the nose. One of the biggest reasons I chose Dr. Evcimik was because he is an ENT surgeon first. While aesthetics were obviously important to me, I also wanted to make sure I wouldn’t end up with breathing issues or structural complications down the line.

During my consultation, he came across as kind, knowledgeable, and very straightforward in the best way possible. He was reassuring but also practical and honest about what could and could not be achieved, which I really appreciated. At no point did I feel pressured by him or his team to book surgery. They answered all of my questions, provided the information I requested, and gave me the time and space to consider my options without any pushiness.

Travelling to another country for surgery was definitely intimidating, especially not knowing the language on top of the normal anxiety that comes with any procedure. However, I truly have nothing but positive things to say about the entire team, especially his assistant. She was incredibly helpful, supportive, and responsive throughout the entire process. She organized all of the logistics for transportation between the airport, hotel, hospital and clinic, helped facilitate communication during appointments, and always provided detailed written instructions after each appointment. Anytime I had a question or concern, she responded quickly and kindly, which made the entire experience feel much less overwhelming.

Recovery has honestly been smoother than I expected. I had almost no bruising, just some very minor bruising under one eye after cast removal that was barely noticeable, and very little swelling overall. The most uncomfortable part of recovery was not being able to breathe through my nose, especially at night when it felt claustrophobic.

Overall, I am extremely happy with both my experience and my results so far. I know I am still very early in the healing process, but I truly hope I continue to feel as happy with my long-term results as I do now.
